When it comes to an auto bid would Boise's 2010 season and rankings count for the MWC? I know it seems like a ridiculous question, but if it's a given that they're going to the MWC it does make some sense.

Yes, as does their TCU BCS bowl season from last year.

You need to think like a BCS honk when it comes to whether or not the MWC should be an auto-qualifier:

If the BSU season helps the MWC, then no, the season won't count. If the season hurts the MWC, then yes, it will count.

Remember, the BCS is only about generating revenue. It won't do anything to diminish it's revenue in any way. If the cartel thought for a moment that the MWC would help increase revenue, it would already be an auto-qualifier.

I hope that they keep 4 non-conference games. Non-conference games and how we do against them is how our teams are judged by the rest of the country.

I think it will but I am one of the ones that thinks that even with the addition of BSU the MWC doesn't get an auto-bid unless they trim some of the fat at the bottom. At least 2 teams need to go because the bottom of the conference is that bad.

Now going forward, we're looking at the value of adding two teams, since that is a requirement by the NCAA in order to have a league championship game. We've been analyzing all of our TV possibilities and having a title game is regarded as a high priority. We're looking to do everything that we can to maximize revenue and exposure for the conference. We're going to try to ascertain whether the addition of even more teams would add value to our current member institutions.
