My analysis is that many uofutah fans are where BYU fans were in the early to mid 90s when the glory years that started in the 70s and dominated the 80s finally came to a close. I remember those years well. I went into every game expecting BYU to not only win, but to dominate. Losing, while it happened on occasion, was never a realistic expectation. Then the great humbling came, Utah and others ascended, the bibs, Crouton, Feterick et al, Utah goes to the PAC, and BYU goes independent. Those were tough years. While BYU fans can indeed be insufferable, I would like to think that many of us can also bring some perspective to the awesomeness that this season has become. Many uofutah fans have only seen awesomeness and ascension. I still find it hilarious that the acme of the great ascension has been two straight losses in Rose Bowls, the last one a blow out to PSU.
