  • I hope the 10 team MWC is smart enough not to follow the Pac 10's example. Playing a 9 game conference schedule makes you have a true champion and has some great regular season games, it also eliminates any possibility of ever having 2 teams in the BCS.

    • To me, I think the only discussion going on in this meeting is going to be if they are going to invite anyone else or not. My guess is not, but I think that BSU is a done deal and the only debate would be are there 2 more that will fit the bill.

I really hope they don't. The MWC doesn't need anymore bottom feeders. I am only cool with more additions if there is an equal amount of subtraction with those additions.

I don't see how they could, I am just saying that is the only thing up for discussion at this point. None of the potential candidates save Houston make the least bit of sense and Houston is a huge stretch but would give TCU a bit of a travel partner.

Pac-10, which has its meetings in San Francisco starting this weekend, is prepared to make a bold move and invite Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Colorado to join its league

I actually typed Houston in there as the only one that I would want without a subtraction but then deleted it. They are the only other team I would be somewhat excited about adding.

Yeah, that would revolutionize college football.

The AD from Cal did say they would revolutionize college football with what they were planning to do.

Yeah. I remember thinking that adding two teams seemed a little below that mark.

                        This isn't below that mark.

                        • Of course, what happened to the rumor that pitt and rutgers were to be invited by the Big 10? Or the rumor that the Big 10 were going to invite Nebraska and Mizzou?

Who knows what to believe anymore.

                            • If they can pull that off, the Pac 10 and the Big 10 are both going to 16 teams. The MWC, WAC, and CUSA scramble to pick up the scraps of what remains of the Big XII. The Big XII ceases to exist. The Big East is weakened, possibly dropping out of the ranks altogether (but probably not).

                              Geez, this could be big.

And obviously the SEC takes FSU, Miami, Clemson, Va-Tech, West Virginia and one more and goes to 16 as well.

Everyone else gets shoved down to the new Football Bowl sub-Subdivision.
