What I think is perhaps the worst part of it all is the fact that they hid their faces. There is ZERO reason to hide your face if you are on the right side of the law.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

    • So a federal judge blocked Trump from deploying CA National Guard to Oregon. He did it anyway.

That's stuff a dictator does. These are not normal times.

I think the judge ruled Trump couldn't call up the Oregon National Guard. So Trump is sending troops from California National Guard instead.

        • Help me understand the whole national guard idea. I thought state governors were the “commander and chief” of state national guards and their purpose comes from the 2nd amendment, in order to maintain “a well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free State”

I understand that a governor could help out the federal government to have a state national guard do some stuff under federal jurisdiction, like they did in Iraq and Afghanistan, but I can’t see Governor Newsome agreeing to send his troops up to Portland.

          What am I missing here?

          • Back during "The stand in the schoolhouse door" incident with Governor Wallace in Alabama, President Kennedy federalized the Alabama National guard with Executive Order 11111

He also ordered the 2nd Infantry Division of the regular army to prepare to go to Alabama but I don't think they went because Wallace caved to the now-federalized Alabama National Guard.

You aren’t missing anything. That’s why courts keep ruling against it. The California case is under appeal, and the Oregon one is now as well I guess

Now the judge has clarified that her ruling applies to National Guard from any state:

                • So a judge who ruled against Trump in voting related case and was the subject of shaming and threats from Stephen Miller had their house lit on fire by an arsonist. The judges husband had to jump out of a window and broke several bones to escape.

Where are the calls for stepping back from harmful rhetoric?

I'm sure there is some, but not from the White House or MAGA. This isn't surprising.

                    Bad Trump?
                    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

I could see using chaos he causes with ICE and the National Guard as a pretext to mess with the midterms.

Get those foreigners the hell out of here as much as possible! If legal find any excuse to rescind their status. This is the policy. The examples of legal immigrants also being targeted is way too long of a list now to be considered oversight or mistakes.
