I probably shouldn't nitpick since it was definitely in the top 1% of Trump's statements, but I rolled my eyes a bit when he said that this "appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States". While technically true, it frames it as a fight against the godless hordes, rather than an (apparent) "Christian" who perpetuated it. It would be like saying the Charlie Kirk shooting was "another targeted attack on white Americans."

Having said that, I am very happy that he went against a large portion of his base and called us Christians!

This is not technically true. I was on X and many actual Christians sent their thoughts and prayers, but thought it would be a great time to correct the perception that LDS folks are actual Christians. Many also pointed out that we are going to hell for our heresy.
