Brethren, I agree the ad is fine, it's just a pity it had to end the way it did. Who knows, maybe you'll be treated to an ad from BYU in late December that shows Brandon Davies throwing down from various angles, with Holst's The Planets (Mars, of course) pounding away in the background, and then concluding with "The San Diego Toreros--December 31." Kind of doubt it, though.

Gotta be honest: I thought that sucked. And that was before I started laughing hysterically at the Montana State bit.

However, I'll not point the finger of scorn too much, given the historical precedent you raised. Something is usually better than nothing.

That ad is worse than anything the U has ever put out. That's almost as bad as those pics of Max Hall Austin Collie and Dennis Pitta in Abercrombie clothes.

I have been told that in order to lift the curse forever, some type of ritual/ceremony needs to be celebrated. A certain former Kicker Who Must Not Be Named (initials R.K.) must participate, and so must Ron McBride. I understand, but am not sure, that the ritual won't involve driving a stake through anyone's heart.
