That year cost me 5 grand in sports therapyOriginally posted by NorthwestUteFan View PostThat year still hurts. We lost five games by a grand total of something like 11 points."The first thing I learned upon becoming a head coach after fifteen years as an assistant was the enormous difference between making a suggestion and making a decision."

I like it, but why are they cutting the players off at the knees on every shot? Especially when they cause the background to crack wherever they touch the ground.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostThis is well done:

EDIT: Okay, I watched it again. You really have got to lose that PAC 12 branding on everything you make, print, and do. You're in, so act like it.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Brett McMurphy, in CBSSports.com:
New Pac-12 member Utah, formerly of the Mountain West, was the third biggest underrated program in the past 10 seasons followed by Iowa, despite a disappointing 2010, and Navy.
Utah has finished higher in the AP final poll than its preseason ranking in seven of the past 10 years....
Only 19 schools have received votes in every preseason AP poll since 2001: Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Oregon, Penn State, Texas, TCU, Southern California, Utah, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and Wisconsin.Last edited by LA Ute; 08-30-2011, 03:44 PM.“There is a great deal of difference in believing something still, and believing it again.”

Yergensen had all of one miss that could be labeled huge in his entire career -- the 1992 Freedom Bowl against Washington State, a kick that would've only tied the game with 4-plus minutes to play, and in an era in which there was no overtime to boot.Originally posted by BoylenOver View PostDan Beardall was the kicker in 2005, and didn't do too bad.
Bryan Borreson will forever be hailed as the only player to score in the 2003 game at BYU.
And nevermind the awful misses, Chris Yergensen will never have to buy a drink in Salt Lake because of 34-31.
To listen to some, the only thing separating Yergy from Golden Whetman is the BYU kick. Not even close. If we had a Yergensen-type kicker this year, I wouldn't feel uneasy at all about our kicking game.

How is it that you are always trying to kick me out of what you consider to be BYU threads, and you pull stuff like this? Won't you please go away?Originally posted by YOhio View PostUniversity of Utah Utes Head Coach just won a Kirk Herbstreit award for most underrated coach of 2011. So ridiculous.
