  • "You Gotta Love It Baby" Official Jazz thread

Trey Burke hit some big time shots down the stretch last night. I thought these stats were interesting, and very encouraging for the type of player Trey is and how good he can be.

@Lockedonsports: Trey Burke is unreal. Final 5 mins of game within 5 pts - 30 of 57 from the field (53%) and an insane 15 of 26 from 3 (58%) and 100% FT

Of course, the game last night would've been a good one to lose for tanking purposes...

    • I was worried the jazz were about to win multiple games. Guess that fear was misplaced.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

On the pre-game show Locke was ridiculing Dumars for his building of this Pistons roster without analytics. Basically saying that the Pistons roster is an analytics nightmare. Listening my question was "you need analytics to see that this roster wasn't going to work?"

I just turned the game on and the Jazz are down 20. Ouch.

        • I actually watched a few minutes last night. It was 9-2 Detroit when I could watch no more.

          • I am loving the last 3 mins of this game. Jazz need the loss.

                • Very impressive loss last night. Favors and Kanter played a lot of minutes together and played well on both ends of the floor against a very good Grizz interior. It's nice to see them getting time together. With Alec Burks the Jazz likely win the game. They need to make sure that ankle is fully healed before he comes back. I wouldn't take any chances with an ankle injury.

Really happy to see Kanter's rebounding coming back. Really not happy to see him shooting about 40% from the floor since entering the lineup with Favors.

It's no surprise to me that his shooting has suffered as his focus has shifted back to boxing out and rebounding. He's expending more energy and is just too inexperienced at this point to be consistent in all facets of the game. Nice to see the possibilities for excellence are there though.

It's a shame that Jabari will go 1 or 2.

Who would you guys want at the 4th pick?

Ping Pong Balls. At this point, it's all about the ping-pong balls.

Meh, based on what he did this season, there's a good chance he's not that good.

I'll take the Midwest Region's Most Outstanding Player, the guy opposing coaches feel like they have to constantly double team, and the guy who is still playing basketball in Julius Randle. Not a bad consolation prize anyway.
