The worst place you can be as an NBA team is mediocre. I think it's clear which side of the line this Jazz squad is going to fall on, which *should* let them build back better... or whatever we're calling it now.

I think with multiple failed draft picks that going into next year trying to ensure that Utah doesn't lose its pick to OKC that avoiding mediocre and being just bad is the right call.

It seems like the Jazz could have potentially got more with the moves they made, but it doesn't really matter that much.

But soft puffy media pieces have called the Jazz the "big winner" of whatever trade you want.

Could they really though? I know I personally valued Clarkson and Sexton's contributions in Utah, but was there *really* ever a market for them beyond what we got? Seems like if value was had to be there, we would've made a deal over the last 18 months for either of those pieces.

          • What is the pulse on the Ainge era for the Utah Jazz now?

I find the trade today to be very confusing.

            • I think the Jazz, with their future first-round pick, were set to make a playoff run next year. I like the trade, but want more info on which years they give up first-round picks.

2 2027 first rounders and a 2031 first. It seems like a lot, but all in all, I'm ok with this trade. Jaren Jackson is as good as any player they could hope to get with one of those picks, and is only 26 years old.

                  I like the defensive presence.

Fair but can you shut him down for this year? You don't want to start winning games and then lose the first round pick.

The national media seems to like the trade for the Jazz. I am bummed to lose Clayton though. I love the way he plays.
