We watched it this weekend, too. Super boring. Felt like a well-done community play.Prepare to put mustard on those words, for you will soon be consuming them, along with this slice of humble pie that comes direct from the oven of shame set at gas mark “egg on your face”! -- Moss
There's three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who's got the same first name as a city; and never go near a lady's got a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, everything else is cream cheese. --Coach Finstock

We were ready to flip a coin in trying to decide between that one and Colossal, but chose the latter because of a higher Rotten Tomatoes rating. The missus didn't like it, but I thought it was very unpredictable and entertaining. It includes a funny short subject with five or so vignettes about cellphone use (like when a kid, after his mom walks out of the house, hits a porn site as she is backing out the driveway and her car's Bluetooth connection picks up his web browser), and then the movie begins with a weird Godzilla-like monster attack in Seoul around 1990. It then moves to the present day where Anne Hathaway is a boozy trainwreck whose boyfriend, Dan Stevens, kicks her out of their NYC apartment. With no options, she returns to her middle America hometown and reconnects with a high school friend (Jason Sudeikis). This is all in the first ten minutes or so and you might think this is going to be a typical romcom where she cleans up her life, spurns her snooty NYC boyfriend, and lives happily ever after with the humble but adoring blue collar boy from her youth. You would be wrong. There are multiple plot twists, and just when you think you're figuring out the conclusion and moral of the story, the story careens in a different direction. Not for everyone and not a great film but, as I said, an entertaining one. Don't listen to Mrs. PAC on this one.Originally posted by RC Vikings View PostDespite my best efforts to see something else I got dragged into seeing "The Circle" this weekend. It really tries to be thought provoking but it does none of that. Just dull.

Dr. Strange - Maybe the dumbest comic book movie ever. Just awful.
La La Land - Lived up to all the hype. Fantastic movie."There is no creature more arrogant than a self-righteous libertarian on the web, am I right? Those folks are just intolerable."

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

Guardians of the Galaxy: Vol. 2-- Not quite as good as the first one, but then again what I liked about the first one was the 70s music and I'm glad they didn't just Xerox the formula. This one gets more into the comic book lore stuff, which gets a little tedious, but it's a fun movie."I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando / Your man don't want it, Trump's a bitch! I'll make his whole brand go under,"
