I'm not afraid of playing a freshman in certain situations. I still don't think the mistake with Heaps was trying to let him play as a frosh.

By organized, I mean in a league with coaches, refs, etc. I've played in plenty of turkey bowls and Saturday morning flag football games.

Right. But didn't you play in the pee wees or pop Warner or something? My 7 year old son has played more organized football than you. Lol!

Nope, I never did. I played baseball, basketball and soccer.

Despite my inexperience, I'm willing to throw down with your 7 year old.

Softball! Katy's family plays competitive softball -on commandeered, out-of-stake boundary, church fields.

I feel that it is important to disclose that this month, I was named the MVP in the championship game for our law school's intramural coed football team. I would appreciate it if all of you would revisit my posts in this thread and adjust your esteem thereof accordingly. Thank you.

And all this time I thought you were the resident expert on official lds church matters. Well rounded indeed.

Damnit Junkie. Have I taught you nothing? The determining factor is practice jersey length.

Coming out of highschool the only clear difference between Lark and NElson was that Lark was bigger, stronger, had comparable speed, and was the better D-1 prospect.
You and I are saying the same thing in different ways. Lark has all the measurable's which made him a better college prospect. This does not make him a better player. Nelson was better in high school and as things stand, he's better in college.

I'm curious what you're basing this on. They played at the same level in the same state and Riley Nelson threw 53 touchdown passes and ran for 31 more his senior season. You really think Lark was the better HS QB? I could be wrong, but, IIRC, you could take away all 31 of Nelson's rushing TDs, add up Lark's passing and rushing TDs and that still wouldn't add up to Nelson's 53 passing scores.

He was Mr Football and a Parade All-America. You can say he was a better college prospect, but to say he was a better all around HS QB than Nelson seems silly.
