Now, just because Crist is considering transferring to Kansas next season, that doesn't mean the school can't bring in both Crist and Heaps if both players want to become Jayhawks. Since Crist has already graduated from Notre Dame, much like Russell Wilson did with Wisconsin this season, he could transfer to Kansas and play right away in 2012. Heaps will have to sit out the 2012 season, so it's not as if he'd lose playing time in Lawrence if Crist transferred as well.
    I didn't realize this.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

From my K-State fan buddy who came to the NMSU game with me and saw Beck play.

"Lawrence is like a little California in the middle of KS. He'll probably start smoking grass or something to calm him down."

"It's true that everything happens for a reason. Just remember that sometimes that reason is that you did something really, really, stupid."

Man I don't like the sound of this at all. Run Mangum. Run.

Doman sees an untraditional BYU quarterback model perhaps taking over the spot, which would be in line with the rest of the country. Running quarterbacks, who can serve as dual threats, are all the rage these days.

"They pose all sorts of trouble for the defense (guys like Nelson). But I want quarterbacks that can lead. Have the ability to throw it, a real natural snap to throwing the ball...physically can do it," Doman said. "And then if they have the mobility and ability to move around, now (the defense) is defending all 11 guys. That's kind of how you see college football -- even the NFL (trending)."

Still completely baffles me that Doman thought it was a good idea for him to go away from Anae's system that had been very successful and it was all his young QB knew and try and install a new offense, utterly baffling. Doman should have tried to keep as much the same as possible for his first year learning curve. If he really wanted to install this offense that doesn't play to his QB's strength than he should have done it in small doses over the next few years and not try and do it all at once.

I'd like to hear more context. I've read a couple of these things now from Doman. It's not clear from the context whether he's just praising Nelson and talking about his strengths and how he plans to use them and how that makes it difficult to defend. Or if he's defining a strategic direction of the program. If it's the latter, I disagree with it.

Let's hope Mangum can run, cuz I don't think he wants to go anywhere else.

so basically doman wants to copy what Oregon is doing....without bringing in the caliber of athlete that Oregon is recruiting.

                            What could possibly go wrong?

I love Doman as a recruiter and a leader and a possible head coach, but the words offensive and guru will never be said in the same sentence as Doman except by Greg Wrubell maybe.
