Have you played or coach above 8th grade (non-homeschool) FB? That may, or may not, be a qualification to agree, or disagree (I'm not sure which) with the previously stated opinions, as confusing as they may be.

I'm not afraid of playing a freshman in certain situations. I still don't think the mistake with Heaps was trying to let him play as a frosh.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostI don't think there's any way they'd put Hill in -- hopefully they learned their lesson with Heaps. It would be either Lark or Munns.

By organized, I mean in a league with coaches, refs, etc. I've played in plenty of turkey bowls and Saturday morning flag football games.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View Post
How is that possible? Not even as a little kid?? Or at one of KatyLied's competitive family reunions?Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Right. But didn't you play in the pee wees or pop Warner or something? My 7 year old son has played more organized football than you. Lol!Originally posted by falafel View PostBy organized, I mean in a league with coaches, refs, etc. I've played in plenty of turkey bowls and Saturday morning flag football games.Fitter. Happier. I feel that it is important to disclose that this month, I was named the MVP in the championship game for our law school's intramural coed football team. I would appreciate it if all of you would revisit my posts in this thread and adjust your esteem thereof accordingly. Thank you.τὸν ἥλιον ἀνατέλλοντα πλείονες ἢ δυόμενον προσκυνοῦσιν

Damnit Junkie. Have I taught you nothing? The determining factor is practice jersey length.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostWhat else are you going to measure a high school QB on? His long hair and six pack abs?
You and I are saying the same thing in different ways. Lark has all the measurable's which made him a better college prospect. This does not make him a better player. Nelson was better in high school and as things stand, he's better in college.Coming out of highschool the only clear difference between Lark and NElson was that Lark was bigger, stronger, had comparable speed, and was the better D-1 prospect.Last edited by Shaka; 12-14-2011, 06:31 PM.

I'm curious what you're basing this on. They played at the same level in the same state and Riley Nelson threw 53 touchdown passes and ran for 31 more his senior season. You really think Lark was the better HS QB? I could be wrong, but, IIRC, you could take away all 31 of Nelson's rushing TDs, add up Lark's passing and rushing TDs and that still wouldn't add up to Nelson's 53 passing scores.Originally posted by cougjunkie View PostYou guys are crazy. Lark coming out of high school was the superior quarterback and his offer list says so. What has happened since then who knows. But coming out of high school Lark was bigger, had a better arm, and was an all around better high school QB.
He was Mr Football and a Parade All-America. You can say he was a better college prospect, but to say he was a better all around HS QB than Nelson seems silly.I'm like LeBron James.
