Being gay isn't a STANDARD. It's a person's sexual orientation.

No one is questioning whether BYU or the Klan have the right to discriminate against gays. But to think that they can discriminate against gays without consequences is absurd.

There are plenty of ex or non-practicing LDS folks on this forum who regularly discuss this kind of thing with the rest of us in respectful, meaningful ways.
