No, you're just grateful it evolved away from a subject (sports) that you know nothing about.

Bigot. Why does the couple have to be gay? Meet me at LES for the UCLA game and after the first Taysom or JSwag TD, pucker up, baby!

exactly my point. If he's really interested in honest research he shouldn't have a problem with this.

          Being gay isn't a STANDARD. It's a person's sexual orientation.

No one is questioning whether BYU or the Klan have the right to discriminate against gays. But to think that they can discriminate against gays without consequences is absurd.
Alcohol and coffee are the only thing. What about premarital sex? How about entering into BYU as a Mormon but trying to convert to another faith? There are lots of "legal" things that will get you kicked out.

You are an ass to suggest that BYU or the Church's policy on homosexuality is similar to the Klan. If you would like to have a more reasonable discussion, I am willing to do so. I think you would be surprised that I agree with you that on hoping that the Church would be better on this issue.

There are plenty of ex or non-practicing LDS folks on this forum who regularly discuss this kind of thing with the rest of us in respectful, meaningful ways. Why is it that other ex members become just as preachy and annoying about their new personal philosophies as the worst stereotypical LDS "mullah" type member is about his?

Probably just a personality difference. Some people are and others are

Calling Provo from San Francisco can be a very traumatic experience.
