"Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."
The B12 has a plan A and a Plan 1A....and BYU was allegedly part of that discussion...hmmm.....
This quote...
"West Virginia has better football than Missouri, better basketball than Missouri, a better budget than Missouri and more passion among its fans than Missouri. They're better, anyway you turn 'em. The travel's not good but that's it."
seems like it was directed to Mizzou saying "don't let the door hit you in the butt on the way out" or maybe it was directed toward the SEC hinting they should take WVU now blocking Mizzou to the SEC.

Multiple sources tell Orangebloods.com West Virginia appears to be the leader to replace Missouri in the Big 12.
The Tigers could notify the Big 12 as early as Monday - at a previously scheduled Big 12 Board of Directors meeting in Dallas - that MU plans to withdraw from the league so it can apply for membership in the Southeastern Conference.
Missouri wants to move quickly in its bid for the SEC because the deadline to schedule football games in the SEC for the 2012-13 season is fast-approaching, sources said.
The exit fee for Missouri is expected to be roughly $28 million, sources said. (Texas A&M's exit fee is $30 million, those sources said.)
Multiple sources have also indicated Missouri would compete in the SEC East in football along with Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, South Carolina and Tennessee.
West Virginia is emerging as the leader to replace Missouri in the Big 12 because it brings more to the table in terms of football tradition and a new TV market (the northeast) than Louisville.
Also, the story to keep an eye on is that in roughly 60 days, Notre Dame is expected to vote whether or not to move its non-football sports to the Big 12, two souces at Big 12 schools told Orangebloods.com.
Stay tuned.
Edit: And Chip on BYU...
I've been reporting for a while that BYU backed off from the Big 12 in early September. If the Big 12 ultimately expands to 12, I think BYU is in the picture. But I don't see that happening for a while.
Chip and Texas like the idea of staying at 10 teams. It seems the rest of the Big 12 would rather go to 12 ASAP.

This is stipulated in the Big East contract, but is seemingly negotiable.
"Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."
The doubling of the exit fee is intended to deter Cincinnati, Connecticut, Louisville, Rutgers, South Florida and West Virginia — the six remaining schools that play big-time football — from leaving while showing stability to potential new members.
The increased withdrawal penalty will be triggered if a current football member leaves after one of the schools the Big East is targeting agrees to join, Marinatto said.
This kind of like the Mizzou leaving the Big 12 before they are locked in on the six year assignment of rights deal.

Apparently there is strong debate amongst the Big 12 about poaching from the Big East and killing that league. That and there is no clear favorite ATM amongst the Big 12 between BYU, WVU, and Louisville. Which is somewhat contradicted later in the article as it states WVU would be taken over Louisville and the league will stay at 10.
Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

Don't worry, BYU has a great relationship with Texas and Oklahoma. We got this.

I hope so, but the fan in me can't help but watch this thing unfold like a train wreck from which you just can't look away.

I don't know this BYUTANK character's credibility, but on another post it was made clear he had some.

I was being mostly sarcastic. For all the talk of our relationship with Texas, ND, and Oklahoma from BYU Independence honks, I haven't seen any great benefit from it yet. I would love to be wrong.

GSwaim (from Oklahoma) has had positive things to say about BYU. Chip Brown, the UT puppet, is always negative towards BYU. I think OU likes BYU and wants them in, UT wants somebody else. It will be interesting to see who wins.
