  • Yes! South Carolina beats UCLA in the CWS.

    Take that, loser Pac-10 conference.
    Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Mercury News: Pac-10 expansion raises many questions

      Ouch.
Maybe you aren't such a cool BYU fan after all.

A thought just came to me. What if Colorado gets through this whole process and decides that they simply don't have the money to be able to buy their way out of the Big-12, and the Pac-10 refuses to pay it? Do they rescind their acceptance of the Pac-10's invitation? What would the Pac-10 do in that case? Also rescind Utah's invitation? Invite a different team to become number 12?

It has always been my opinion that Utah adds a lot more value to the Pac-10 than Colorado. The Pac-10 should have taken Utah and BYU, IMHO. The BYU vs. Utah game is worth something.

I think Colorado can just mortgage the farm to raise the $10M. The NCAA has already taken away some of their scholarships so that will help.

Would that BYU were Pac 10 worthy! Oh how I wish it were so.

Please. Scott flew out and handed Texas Tech one of those all doilied up and embossed Pac-10 invitations. Texas Tech. That's tier four, if not tier five.

BYU is worthy. It's just that the authority conducting the worthiness interview was a total jerk. Plus, BYU always hesitates at the final question "Do you consider yourself worthy in every way to enter the PAC-10?"

I've always liked Doug Robinson. This is not a good article, though. He rehashes stuff I was saying in 1999. But Robinson (a BYU grad, right?) gets all defensive and mad about it; he sounds like a zoobie writing to the editor. Not an impressive effort. STIPULATED, Doug! It was the culture. That doesn't make it wrong.
