You're all selling Colorado way short. It's in the 16th ranked market in America. The town is sports crazy. Huge school. Top shelf academics. Won a national title in the nineties. Colorado's potential is unlimited. I think it's a great get, better than Nebraska in my opinion.

Also, you don't get the model or paradigm. You can't separate what Colorado brings into the conference. It's a symbiotic relationship. That's why the schools share the pain and the gain.

Colorado has had a few rough years on the gridiron. That means nothing.

Lol. Make sure it has just one more seat than LES. Be sure to get the art dept working around the clock creating 15K stadium dummies as well. And it's high def so make them lifelike.

Ok, now you're trolling. Utah is a much much much better get than Colorado. And if I'm Utah, I'm asking for the same cash flow that CU is getting. It would only be fair.

It's possible that CU costs the PAC 10 more money in the first five years of membership than it will bring in.
SU was right about one thing. Scott is going to look bad when this whole thing is over.

Colorado is a good school and Denver is a good TV market. I get it. I promise. All that being said, I can't imagine that the the PAC 10 schools are too happy about CU's financial problems. You have to spend money to make money though.

I do wonder what kind of ratings CU pulls in the Denver market. If they get into the PAC 10 early in order to prove their ratings for the new TV deal not only will the PAC 10 have to foot a larger bill for the CU's penalty, but CU will actually have to deliver ratings. Something that I am not sure that they will do.

I'm sure Scott didn't get ahead of his authority. They all agreed to it.

CU is a national school and has been for some time. If they win, they will get plenty of eyeballs.

That CU has potential is undoubtedly true, that still wouldn't make me any happier about inviting a school whose AD is currently in shambles, has done nothing on the field in any sport in over a decade and does not offer a dominating presence in its own market. Were I a president, I would be furious that my school has to dig into our own pockets for a school that will likely give nothing back to the conference during my tenure.

Still a better trolling attempt than saying that you would rather stay in the MWC than move to the PAC-10 and that BYU is in the better position if this all goes down.

Colorado is an AAU school and the college is ranked 77 on US News. I believe its med school is also ranked higher than Utah's. Maybe Utah is better by some measures (they are both huge and diverse) but Utah is hardly "much much much better". Colorado also has some Big 8/12 championships and major bowls. It has several top 5 football finishes. CU's market is no. 16 and Utah's is no. 31.

they won't win, not for a long while. Hawkins is a joke, the program is in equal to worse condition it was when he was brought in and I don't think they will get the athletes they need to compete for a long time, which is why I say they will cost the PAC 10 more than they bring in for at least five years.

Ok, you're right. Utah is only marginally better than the train wreck that is CU and their athletic department.

So Utah's current athletic success shouldn't be relevant to Colorado's pre-Cuban missle crisis success? I don't get that argument at all. Far be it from me to defend Utah but it's exactly what Utah has done in the past half decade that has put it in the position it is in now. Colorado is a boobie prize in all of this and you know it. It doesn't diminish Utah's role and the big step that it's taking but don't try to pimp your '72 pinto and expect me to win at Indy.

I was having fun, responding to other Utah Fans (one in particular whose initials are S&U). My effort was to try to link what seemed to be legitimate reporting. Most of it was not favorable to Utah's Pac-10 aspirations at first, but I did not shy away from linking the hopeful reports as well, especially as things turned Utah's way. I honestly was just having fun.
You are one sick puppy. (Seriously, this is fun. I don't mind your article at all. Were our positions reversed, I hope I would be doing the same thing, and with the same good humor. You are a good man, MBN.)

The more recent links to unfavorable opinions from your future Pac-10 destinations have been for similar reasons. Frankly, that's the primary message that is out there. No one needs to read them if they find them disturbing or upsetting. Hence, I don't feel inclined to stop linking articles that I think many will find interesting or informative.
                              Disturbed? Upset? Pshaw.

I try to be consistent in this forum and other related forums. I don't take one approach here and quite a different approach elsewhere. Perhaps that is my error.
I see no error whatsoever. Keep 'em coming.

My sincere wishes of good tidings on this huge moment for you and other Utah Fans.

                              I'm going to bed.
                              Thank you, and good night.

I agree. Everyone needs to lay off Colorado. If there's a common theme to all of the P10 members/fans' complaints about this, it's not about adding Colorado...
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah
