What a roller coaster ride. I have a weak stomach.

...I think religion was not the primary reason they did it. (though I am sure religious affiliation didn't help them).
I feel the same way about the PAC and BYU.

I think they added CU not to block Baylor for religious reasons but to ensure that they secure the Denver market. I think they believed that Texas deep down didn't care whether Baylor came or not.
This, plus UteZone reported that CU's BOR pushed for early announcement to ensure that Texas did not nudge them out with Baylor.

"I like to bike. I could beat Lance Armstrong, only because he couldn't pass me if he was behind me."
I don't get Y fans complaining about bigotry. I think some people in the PAC are seriously upset at the Church's support of Prop 8 and it's hard to blame them. The Church took a political stand and when you do that there are political consequences.
If they dont want to invite the Y because of prop 8 it would be bigotry (they would be discriminating on the basis of religion).
You're a mormon too. You just don't have to live with the consequences of this aspect of the Church's decision.
I'd like to think if I was a BYU fan I'd take the consequences of the Prop 8 stance like a man and not play the bigotry card. There are plenty of other good reasons for the PAC to take CU and the U over the Y.

If you was fasting (or on a hunger strike) you would only have to suffer from dry heaves.
Two in a day! You need to post here more often.

No, they would be discriminating for a political reason. That's the price the Church pays for getting involved in a political issue, there are political consequences and you can't hide behind religion even if that is what pushed the Church to get involved.

Sure, you'd like to think that. But the reality is you don't have to worry about it. You'll understand if we don't just take you at your lecture word.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

Yeah, no joke.
I'd like to think that if I were a gay guy, I'd take the consequence of having sex with a guy (my stance...ha!) and not play the bigotry card.
At least the Big Ten went after a big-time addition in Nebraska; the Pac-10 wanted a game so badly, it added Utah

If you're going to take a stand you need to own it. I'm on board with the Church's involvement with Prop 8, BTW.
