Things going to get ugly? Uglier I guess.

Corbin says at least the bench played hard. Al responds by saying "everyone's got an opinion." Milsap gets asked what Corbin's message was and he said, "Did you ask him? It was his message."

Good thing they've kept Al and Millsap and Mo and Foye around to teach the youngsters how to play this game.

No starters in double figures. Two games where three full starters went scoreless, now this game with no starters in double figures. lol.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

Since Mo came back from injury he's shooting 37% from the floor, has had two FTAs in 5 games, and has 22 assists and 18 turnovers.

Since the all-star break Foye is has a FG% of 27 and 3pt% of 28.

On the season, the following players have a negative on/off court offensive rating differential:

Al Jefferson -10.4, Randy Foye -8.4, Mo Williams -7.1, Earl Watson -4.5, Derrick Favors -3.2, Marvin Williams -2.5...and Kevin Murphy -35.5.

This group has a positive differential:

DMC +10.5, Enes Kanter +8.8, Jeremy Evans +8.5, Alec Burks +7.7, Gordon Hayward +4.4, Jamal Tinsley +3.9, Paul Milsap +2.0,

This morning they hit on this a little on the radio.

Corbin basically says "well, at least the bench guys were playing hard".

Radio guy comes back with - well, isn't that the issue? If the only guys playing hard are the guys on the bench, why aren't they the starters? Makes it kind of hard to complain that the starters aren't performing or playing hard when you are the one that made them the starters and you've got other guys sitting on the bench still.

Following the Jimmer thread - I now find myself wondering who is a worse coach. Corbin or Smart. I used to think it was a no brainer.

Mo's struggles coming back aren't that surprising. I mean, surgery on shooting hand and all. But I have no idea what happened to Foye. Shot is AWOL.

Well, and hasn't Mo always been a low percentage shooter and a poor assist/TO PG? I think the bottom line with him as that he just isn't a good PG - especially with this team.

Corbin is afraid to deal with the inevitable drama that would ensue if he were to bench the current starting group. The young guys just sit there and take it - Sap, Mo, Foye, Jeff - they wouldn't. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Corbin here - if you have to piss off the veterans for the good of the team, you should absolutely do it, I just feel deep down that Corbin doesn't have the stones to pull the trigger on that kind of move.

                  They're both total idiots.

Corbin can't motivate his team to play on the road. He can't see how detrimental playing Big Softie and Mo is.

I was really against the Jazz bringing Mo in this year, and he hasn't done anything that's swayed me from that opinion. I thought it was a horrible addition at the time and I'll be glad when he's gone. The Jazz seem to always be chasing the mistakes of yesteryear with regards to this stuff. It's like they want to make up for letting him get away. Problem is, he's nowhere near the player he was. He's just a chucker that doesn't pass well.

I did like that G-Hay took more shots than Al and that Favors had five blocks.

The problem is, people can see how stupid Corbin is being about this. We all have eyes. The younger guys are better.

The Jazz keep trying to say "Well, we're trying to devleop the young talent, and win at the same time with the veterans." Well, the vets haven't shown they're markedly better than the young guys, so at this point they're playing the vets to the detriment of the team.

If the Jazz miss the playoffs this year, what have they done? They catered to an overpaid and underachieving bunch of vets all year, missed the playoffs, and didn't maximize the development potential of the younger players this year.

Corbin caters to vets because he was always a borderline player himself, so he's unable to sit a vet for a younger, more talented player because he felt like he always had to beat out younger players during his career.

There's just no way he can keep Kanter on the bench with how he's played recently, yet he continues to do so while Al mucks up the water.

Yes he did and no that was not fun. The kid was stopping his dribble 10 feet in front of the three point line.

Another positive was watching the game (by 'game' I mean first half) on ESPN rather than ROOT Sports. Listening to Dimples and Dipshit gets tiring sometimes.

I'm sure glad they made Corbin their priority. You've got to extend the contract of an unproven idiot before worrying about talent and ability. It's a recipe for success.

a/to ratio? Did I just take a step into 2005?!

His TS% has always been right around average or just above average for his position and his pure point rating has been fine.

But that's not really what we're talking about. BGR said he's struggled since coming back from injury. I said that's expected coming back from surgery on your dominant hand. Nothing more to it than that.

I guess I just feel like that's just Mo. Yes, stats might prove me wrong, but my point is that I'm never surprised by poor numbers from Mo whether he's coming back from injury or not.
