Again, can they just amnesty Jefferson now? At the very least Bell has to be bought out. No Bell, Burks killing it, and he still only got 19 minutes.
I would say there's a good chance he's gone in the offseason. Millsap plays better with these guys.

I've been a critic of Al, but Big Al is one of the biggest reasons for their development. Has one of the best post games in the NBA. Favors and Kanter have shown significant improvement in their game because of him.

The Lakers have actually been a favorable matchup for him this year. Somewhere between last year and this one, he decided it was a good idea to stop playing them with his back to the basket and start facing them up. He's consistently abused Gasol in their matchups this year by taking him out on the floor and going at him with a dribble. In three games against the Lakers this year he's averaging 21/10 on 55% from the floor.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

But the Watson/Tinsley with the four youngsters is the most fun I've ever had watching the Jazz - my wife could threaten divorce and I wouldn't quit watching. What would that be? 1,000,000 times?
I agree with both. I typically fast forward until Favors is in the game during any typical game.

I'd say they've been a favorable matchup for Paul offensively, but a bad one defensively. Paul figured our that on offense he can go around Gasol or shoot a jumper over him. They were taking advantage of him defensively early last night. But didn't keep pounding it in during the 2nd half.

"That's who we are," Utah coach Tyrone Corbin said. "Right from the beginning of the year, we knew we had to play our young guys to get them some experience on the floor, to develop them with our veteran group of guys."

True. I think the last time they played I commented that they were abusing each other. Paul would beat Gasol out on the floor, and then Gasol would come back and just shoot right over the top of him on the other end.

Good on Paul for making the adjustment. He certainly has added significant variety to his offensive game since his days in college. And luckily for him, at least in terms of his games against LA, the Lakers dumped Odom.

You can’t underestimate the impact Derrick Favors is having on the Jazz defensively. In Favors 6 starts where he has played at least 25 minutes, the Jazz have put had their 3rd, 5th, 7th, 8th, 11th and 22nd best defensive outings of the year.
The best defensive team in the NBA is the Philadelphia and they are allowing an incredible .94 pts per possession. The top 12 teams in the NBA are all below 1 pts per possession. Those 12 teams have 12 of the 13 best records in the NBA (Spurs are the only one out).

Remember this; to be a good team in the NBA you have to hold teams to below 1 point per possession.

In 8 of the 9 games Favors has played 25 minutes the Jazz have accomplished this or 89%. In the 36 games Favors has not played 25 minutes the Jazz have accomplished it 9 times or 36% of the time.

That is so annoying. Same crap they are saying on the radio today. Corbin is so smart and he is giving these guys these minutes in his own time.

                  :bsflag:

The ONLY reason Burks and Favors played major minutes the last 2 games is because Raja and Al were out. This is a fact and it cannot be controverted. Even in games where Favors was outplaying starters, he couldn't get 20 minutes. Even with Raja out, CJ gets 30 minutes. Even with Burks tearing it up and CJ sucking it up, Corbin still wanted to yank him in favor of CJ or Howard. That Burks didn't allow him to, isn't any great credit to Corbin.

Favors and Burks and Kanter should have been getting more minutes all year. They should continue to get more minutes. But lets see what happens when Jefferson and Raja are back. Any guesses? We've been down this road before. Burks outplays CJ, we think Corbin finally woke up, then Burks goes back to the bench in favor of CJ, who continues to play like CJ.

Here's to hoping it's different this time.

And where is SloanHater to tell us that the Jazz would have been dumb to trade Millsap or Jefferson while they still had some value to trade?"

Ford's first mock has the Jazz taking Lillard and Lamb.

                    Damian Lillard
                    Position: PG
                    Height: 6-foot-2
                    Weight: 185 pounds
                    Age: 21
                    School: Weber State

Analysis: The Jazz have talented young players at every position except point guard. Enes Kanter is the center of the future, Derrick Favors is set to take over at power forward, Gordon Hayward is already doing his thing at small forward, and the team is high on Alec Burks at the 2.

Enter Lillard. While the Jazz won't just draft to fill a position, Lillard is as talented as anyone in this range. He's more of a scorer than a pure point guard, but his ability to hit jump shots and get his teammates involved will be alluring to the Jazz.
Analysis: Lamb has elite talent, but his laid-back demeanor has given some scouts pause. Higher in the draft, he's a bit of a risk. But down here he's a good bargain for the Jazz as they continue to rebuild their backcourt.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

I'm not convinced Jeremy Lamb is better than Doron Lamb.

I know there are a lot of questions about Perry Jones, but he'd be hard to pass up as late as #9. If it were to play out this way, I would definitely take a look at him, and then hope one of Lillard/Marshall is there at 12 (which I think would happen).

The Jazz will land one of the Zellers mark it down!

Well, because he thought it was good sport. Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.

I agree. The guy thinks he's a 3 and can probably be worked into a 3/4 combo in the mold of Odom or Marion or AK? It would be nice to get someone who can shoot and has higher energy, but you can't really pass up his talent at that point.

Agreed. I hate Jones as a prospect, but that's because he has the size and ability of a #2 overall pick if weren't so damn soft. At 9, he would be hard to pass up.

I'm guessing a few kids stay in school and he still ends up top 5.
