Started picking up his scoring on a consistent basis finally, and then he breaks a bone in his right wrist tonight.

Is that why White came in before all the other subs at the end? How bad is this injury? Will it keep him out?Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostStarted picking up his scoring on a consistent basis finally, and then he breaks a bone in his right wrist tonight.I'm like LeBron James.

Just did a little draft math.
If all the lottery teams continue to win at their current % for the rest of the season, Golden State needs to win only 25% of their remaining games to remain in 8th position for the draft--giving the Jazz the pick.
Golden State's current win % is 43%. Only 3 teams in the league have a win % below 25%. So the Jazz are in pretty good shape to get that pick.
I think 6 wins for them is the magic number and they still have games against:
NO (3)
SAC
POR (2)
NJ
And their last game of the year against SA, who will only play bench players if nothing is at stake.

The only info I've read is that Williams is going to talk to Marshall and his family to see if he can play anymore. That makes it sound like he'll be able to play since it is his off-hand, but it might not be great for his long-term health if he tries to do it.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostIs that why White came in before all the other subs at the end? Roy was pretty adamant with Leslie McDonald that they weren't going to bring him back in February even though doctors said he probably could. So I can't see them pushing the issue with Marshall unless he insists. Tough luck for a team with so much talent...McDoland, Strickland, and now Marshall.

This puts a huge damper on the entire tourney for me for a few reasons. One, I tend to be a Carolina fan; two, there isn't a player in the tournament more fun to watch than Marshall, and three, I was really looking forward to a possible UK/UNC final that could have been one of the best ever. What a killer if they decide to hold him out or if he plays and isn't himself.Originally posted by BGRTHNUMEGO View PostThe only info I've read is that Williams is going to talk to Marshall and his family to see if he can play anymore. (edit) if this is Marshall's last game, he's shown enough scoring ability in the last month or so, that I'm convinced the Jazz should take him anywhere outside of the top 5. That could change between now and June, of course, but for now, he's my choice.Last edited by smokymountainrain; 03-18-2012, 06:18 PM.I'm like LeBron James.

Looks like he played 4-5 minutes after the foul that caused the injury, but in the few highlights he was clearly just using his left hand on passing and dribbling. I wonder what kind of contraption they'll be able to come up with to stick on his right hand so he can catch the ball better with minimal pain.Originally posted by smokymountainrain View PostThis puts a huge damper on the entire tourney for me for a few reasons.
