  • Big Al has looked pretty good so far, 1-6 on Duncan on defense so far, 6-10 for 12 points on offense. Millsap's struggling.

Comes in and immediately looks like he fits in the league better than miles and bell. He gets to the rim so easily.

          • Holy shit. Was anybody else patient enough to watch the last minute of that debacle?

The last three possesions: Burks gets the ball at the top of the key, beats his man (with ease) gets into the paint and finds an open Kanter for a layup he was foulded on. Next possession Burks pushes the ball on a mini break that wasn't really there, but he gets to the hoop and makes a tough lefty layup - I'm thinking "that guy sits on the bench in favor of Roger Bell, WTF?. Next possession, in the halfcourt, Burks gets the ball from Tinsley at the three point line, goes by Danny Green who forces Burks into the defense and Burks hits tough little runner off the glass - I'm thinking "that guy sits on the bench in favor or Roger Bell, CJ Miles and Josh Howard? WTF" and a full Burksboner ensues.

                haha. Great recap.

The kid scores 15 points in 10 mins in his 2nd game, his coach says they need to find more time for him, and then he proceeds to play him 3 minutes total in the next two games. Given where this team is right now, that's just horse shit.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

And that's three minutes total in the next two games only because they were down by 20 tonight. Had the game been closer, it would have been another DNP-CD. It's frustrating and I'm prepared to beat this dead horse all season.

Why would you ever want a player with the skills of Brandon Roy when he still had knees to be playing?

Fire Ty Corbin, free Alec Burks.

I consider you the founder and president of the Free Alec Burks Movement.

You know, I've always been a 1st round rookie apologist - I think it's important for their overall game and confidence to get significant minutes. I think Burks has a chance to be very good, but even that is beside the point right now. The Jazz have literally nothing to gain by playing Howard and Bell over Burks. Even if Burks sucks, you get the same outcome as you get by playing those two morons.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I will be happy to lead the Free Alec Burks movement.

                          • I thought Kanter's m2m defense was really solid. He got whistled for a foul against Timmy when he moved his feet well and had his hands in great position. And his post moves are slowing down a lot, and the counters are made with a proper read and of how he's being defended.

Just like in those Euro games this summer, Kanter is showing that while he will probably never be an elite defensive big man, he is a smart defensive player. I agree with you on that play by Duncan - not a foul, just good defense.

I agree completely. His international experience has really helped his understanding of the game. I'm excited for him to be a part of the Jazz future.

I'm really frustrated with Corbin more than anything else though. I will say that we as fans complain that he has nothing to lose by playing the rookies and while I mostly agree with that sentiment I also think he wants to show he's in charge and not letting the inmates run the asylum. Furthermore, and this is just a guess, but I think he feels like his best chance to win right now is with the veterans playing. he's got to worry about keeping his job for the immediate future and is probably willing to mortgage the Jazz longterm future just to keep it. I think either way he won't keep his job. Not sure who I'd like to replace him at this point though.
