  • Most damning of all to BGRTHNUMEGO's assertion that the offense is stagnant due Big Al is this table.

(Taken from 82games, this is the Jazz stats minus Opponent stats. I.e. Positive numbers= Jazz outplaying opponent)

    • Has this been posted already? Josh Howard signing an old-style Kyle Korver jersey? wtf?

Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

I still think we're better off starting him at the 3 and Gordon at the 2. Roger is so awful that anything that gets him out of the starting lineup has to be an improvement, and I think Howard is in the best position right now to step into a starting role.
I agree, both on that he's improved and that we're better off with him starting at the 3. He's clearly much more productive than Bell and Miles, and that is with Howard coming off very little playing time the past 2 years.

I agree. While he freelances at times he's still the best option at the 3 (if you move Gordo to the 2). I'm just not seeing any reason to keep Bell on the roster at this point. He's just taking minutes from Burks & Hayward. CJ and Milsap/Jefferson need to be shipped ASAP.

I liked that at least Burks saw some first half action last night as well. Interviewed after the game Corbing said, when referring to Burks, "...he's been pretty patient..." In his (Burks) postgame interview you could tell he is barely being patient at this point. He mentioned his defense needed improvement in order to stay on the court but his body language told a different story. I want a kid that wants to play but not sure how I feel about a rookie just 5 games in visibly showing his disappointment. I think he needs more time but I wouldn't simply do it because he's being impatient.

Here is my translation of Burks' body language:

"I have to improve my defense in order to stay on the court...because we all know how incredible Miles and Bell and Howard and Hayward have looked on defense."

Or I'll let Jan Veseley's quote speak for Burks:

"It’s tough to sit on the bench & see the players, they are playing & they are playing bad."

I don't understand. What's that got to do with whether the offense is stagnant?

I'm with you. Maybe Howard starting could be the impetus for Bell leaving the rotation entirely.

                • Bell with another stellar start. Really earning those starter minutes.

                    Roger's stats on the year:

                    20 MPG
                    2.2 PPG
                    .8 APG
                    1.2 RPG
                    .8 SPG

26% from the field including a blistering 11% from 3. He has shot a total of 0 free throws on the year.

Truly amazing what a dude can do in 20 minutes a game.

                    • Bucks are a dumpster fire without Bogut. Hayward and Favors are really active right now. Running, deflecting, and blocking shots. The best 2 min of basketball thus far this season. Jazz by 7.
