Condemnation coming from the populist right over Trump hanging out with Laura Loomer. Nice to see some condemnation coming from that side of the aisle. I'm kind of used to Trump's tailspins but this one seems about as bad as I can remember.

Agreed. Good to see that pushback. Ms. Sargon makes some odd points, but she is correct about how Harris is wisely avoiding "identity" politics. That has been genius, especially eschewing the "I'm with her" crap that Hillary rolled out. I see some on twitter try to resurrect that hashtag, but I suspect most dems just ignore it.Originally posted by YOhio View PostCondemnation coming from the populist right over Trump hanging out with Laura Loomer. Also, sometimes my house smells like curry, when I make curry.
As for Trump's tailspins, he sometimes has a tendency to get enamored with vocal influencers/nutjobs and brings them into his orbit. Eventually he casts them off for the next shiny object. I wonder how long this infatuation will last.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!
For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.
Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Not to mention that the vast amount of land use and construction regulations are local and state laws, over which the federal government has no authority or control (and Trump's Supreme Court will certainly abide by that). But Trump knows less about Con Law than he knows about differential equations, so it's fun to hear him blather on.Originally posted by Jeff Lebowski View Post
So you agree with me then. Far less than 40% and there is no way he is going to cancel all of those regulations. Maga nonsense.

I would love to meet one single person that believes, as Trump apparently does, that EVERYONE wanted to end Roe v Wade.
One wonders why stupid dems would even run on restoring it. No matter, vote for Trump or we all die."...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Another example of a non-planOriginally posted by Uncle Ted View PostSpeaking of Laura Loomer, here is her reporting on Trump's plan for lowering the costs of homes... so your kids can also enjoy the american dream of home ownership:
Compare that to Harris' plan of giving first home buyers' a $25,000 tax credit which would just raise the cost of homes for everyone.

Went to the adult session of our Stake Con last night (had to record the game and was up until midnight watching; Jake is testing my faith in Judaism) and the GA is Elder Kopischke from Germany. His topic was "Covenant Confidence," and it was actually pretty good for and adult session ON THE SAME NIGHT AS BYU FOOTBALL. He was talking about showing love to others and noted his parents leaving Poland and then East Germany to get to West Germany and freedom right before he was born. He talked about German Saints opening their homes to Ukrainian refugees and then made a very strong statement about our need and responsibility to welcome and succor refugees from other countries. It was striking to me as that was not the particular focus of his remarks, but was put in there nonetheless, and given what has happened over the past few days.
I went away edified and hope and pray others in my community did as well.Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

That is great. I was listening to a MAGA woman on the radio the other day talking about the situation in Springfield. She said, "There is no other case in history when a country allowed foreigners to come in and become the dominant people over the native population." It's one of the things that makes me feel most patriotic. It's one of the things that has made America Great already. Trump is attacking it. If he wins they plan on going after legal immigration.Originally posted by falafel View Post

The photo of the black man holding those geese was a man just picking up dead animals and getting them out of the road.
It's also one of those basic "Judeo-Christian" values that are supposedly so valued. The Good Samaritan comes to mind.
I almost want to reread the Book of Mormon but I remember those themes about Nephites losing their righteousness and mistreating the Lamanites for their perceived inferiority and God bringing punishment.
