Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

USAID employees are being treated like many people have been treated in the private sector. Whether it's right or wrong or somewhere in the middle it happens. If even half of what I've been hearing about malfeasance by USAID is true then I applaud their tactics. Now do the Department of Education.

No. The private sector and the public sector are not at all the same. You know that (or your should). For one, there are federal laws at issue here that have almost certainly been violated. I assume you wouldn't be so ho-hum about the same thing in the private sector.

Also, the argument isn't about crazy Trump promises (Mar-A-Gaza made me LOL). He's always said stupid shit. The argument is he does not care at all about lying directly to the American public's face. Russians/Chinese/MAGA zealots are flooding the zone with this type of outright lie and/or disinformation with Elon Musk amplifying it.

Another example. Dumbo Boebert herself had a subscription to Politico while lambasting AID.

Not a surprise at all:
While his announcement looked formal and thought-out — he read the plan from a sheet of paper — his administration had not done even the most basic planning to examine the feasibility of the idea, according to four people with knowledge of the discussions, who were not authorized to speak publicly.TV seasonscandal.

I think MBN may have referenced this above, but I want to give a shout out for a recent essay by Ezra Klein. It is called "Don't Believe Him" and the premise is that Trump's avalanche of executive orders is meant to overwhelm the opposition (we have discussed this), but he is also framing himself as a powerful leader in full control of the US government, well beyond the normal levels of executive power. And he wants you to accept that and go along with it. But much of what he is doing is unconstitutional and will be overturned or blocked as long as people fight it head on.
It is only 14 minutes. Highly recommended. You can get it on any podcast service. Here is a transcript:

I've never looked at Musk as a conservative. Musk realized the left had gone looney tunes and he started to evolve towards what is now the center.
