It's also one of those basic "Judeo-Christian" values that are supposedly so valued. The Good Samaritan comes to mind.
I almost want to reread the Book of Mormon but I remember those themes about Nephites losing their righteousness and mistreating the Lamanites for their perceived inferiority and God bringing punishment.
Got to love AI for stuff like this.

Many immigrants to the United States have made profound contributions across science, technology, art, and business. Here are a few notable examples:

    Science & Technology
    1. Albert Einstein (Germany) - Physicist whose theory of relativity revolutionized modern physics. He settled in the U.S. in 1933 to escape Nazi persecution.
    2. Sergey Brin (Russia) - Co-founder of Google, Brin immigrated from the Soviet Union as a child. His work has transformed search technology and data management.
    3. Andrew Grove (Hungary) - Former CEO of Intel, Grove played a key role in the development of the microchip, helping to usher in the personal computer era.
    4. John von Neumann (Hungary) - Mathematician and computer scientist, his contributions to game theory, quantum mechanics, and the architecture of computers are foundational to many modern technologies.
    5. Elon Musk (South Africa) - Founder of Tesla, SpaceX, and other ventures, Musk's work in renewable energy and space exploration has had a profound impact on technology and business globally.
    Business
    1. Jerry Yang (Taiwan) - Co-founder of Yahoo!, one of the early pioneers of the internet.
    2. Pierre Omidyar (France/Iran) - Founder of eBay, which revolutionized e-commerce.
    3. Jan Koum (Ukraine) - Co-founder of WhatsApp, one of the most widely used messaging platforms globally, which was sold to Facebook for $19 billion.
    Art & Culture
    1. Yo-Yo Ma (France/China) - World-renowned cellist, known for his virtuosity in classical music and his efforts to promote cross-cultural understanding through the arts.
    2. Mikhail Baryshnikov (Latvia/Soviet Union) - Ballet dancer and choreographer, regarded as one of the greatest dancers of all time.
    3. Isamu Noguchi (Japan) - Sculptor and designer whose work has influenced art, landscape design, and architecture in the 20th century.
    4. Marina Abramović (Serbia) - Performance artist known for her groundbreaking work in body art, Abramović's influence in the avant-garde and contemporary art scene is far-reaching.

These individuals represent just a small sample of immigrants whose contributions have left a lasting mark on American society.

Its always the people who last benefitted from immigration that don't want the next generation of immigrants to come. E.g., Elon Musk.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

      • I think Trump may need to adjust his travel and activities to avoid such attempts. I won't be surprised if there is another attempt on him before election day.

Suspect was a Trump voter in 2016. Wanted a Haley/Vivek ticket.

I'm starting to get the idea that Republicans don't like this Trump feller.

Interesting suspect... A mercenary for Ukraine.

And then there is this interesting connection...

Is this what it takes for MAGA to get behind gun reform?

No. They are already introducing a new law requiring caddies and busboys at the club to be armed.

This is a MAGA level disingenuous wish casting, MBN. He clearly muddled up "migrants" and "immigrants" together and caught himself. Don't fall into the Tedbot pettiness.

Yeah. But its kind of funny in an ironic way.

A second stupid remark from this guy is opinion that the people of Springfield would probably prefer that Haitians kill the geese for food, you know, because they hate geese so much.

Very solid point from the Editor of the National Review.

"Migrants" or "immigrants?" It doesn't sound like that at all. But I'm willing to be wrong on this. I just can't think of what word he intended to say. Just doesn't sound like some compilation of "immigrants" and "migrants." Maybe he hiccupped and it came out like the N-word.
