Well, I didn't call him a moron this time, so I think there's some progress!

I know you're not a Trump supporter and all <cough cough /> but if you want to be taken seriously, you might not want to bring up withholding weapons from the Ukraine.

      • Hey not sure if this made the rounds or not: but do you guys remember when Congress authorized all kinds of weaponry and military support for Ukraine and Trump called Zelensky and said he wouldn't be getting any of it if he didn't make a phony fucking announcement for the Trump reelection campaign that the Bidens were under investigation for corruption? I'm surprised many of you haven't heard this; Trump even got impeached for that anti-democratic, anti-American bullshit.

The irony is so think you could cut it with a knife.

          • My wife and daughters are into some serious Zelensky-crushing, in part because of the news that Zelensky won the 2006 Ukrainian Dancing With the Stars. Let's settle this war as in days of old, but instead of swords, let the rival kings have it out on the dance floor. Be sure to include the audience call-in vote.

            • I'm still trying to digest (albeit with considerable indigestion) this Tulsi Gabbard tweet from two weeks ago:

Presented with a kind of sweet smugness, it has elements of truth, but is grossly misleading, devoid of nuance, and is the kind of thing, like the execrable Tucker Carlson's observations, that Putin loves to rebroadcast in Russia. It's been fun watching her and Carlson backpedal a bit as they've been educated the past few days. I had mixed feelings about Gabbard before this, but not anymore.

                    • Russia shut down what I think is the last independent media outlet in that country, and this short PBS clip provides a quick summary of that unfortunate move. One of the outlet's staff members was asked what the shutdown means, and she replies (at the 2:40 mark) simply, "North Korea. I think this is our future--North Korea." I think she's right. Putin is turning his country into the new Hermit Kingdom, shunned by pretty much every country on earth, other than China.

                      • Apparently Russia decided they weren't quite hated enough yet, so they decided to bomb a nuclear power plant. Brilliant.

And Lindsay Graham openly calls for Putin's assassination. Way to give china and russia some fodder to use for propaganda, dipshit.

I read this yesterday about an independent newspaper in Moscow that is still printing:

It's a dangerous job; seven of their journalists have been murdered in the last two decades.

Unbelievable. Zelensky's a former comic and reality TV star, yet he's a more serious politician than Graham.
