This Russian channel seems pretty upset about these drawings, allegedly from a Ukrainian restaurant near Kharkiv. They say they show cannibalism, but that seems like some serious cope.

Can you make out what they say?

    • Drone footage of two Russian soldiers making coffee and a grenade going off right beside them. No gore but likely grievously wounded or dead.

      • I think, phonetically, it reads like this:
yaposhka buu zhakhy orkiv teper nayavu

Google translates that as :Japanese girl, into the world, the horrors of the orcs are now real. How is that "cannibalism"?

        • The other one I get: a tsi orky v krymu teper komu (а ці орки в криму тепер кому) which says "and these orcs in the Crimea now to whom"

I don't get the gist of that one, but I don't see cannibalism. Unless by calling them orcs they're saying that "meat's back on the menu, boys."

The deployment of Russian troops to Belarus may be an attempt by Minsk and Moscow to draw Ukrainian forces away from their counteroffensive in the east and south, according to the Institute for the Study of War.

They are trying "to pin Ukrainian troops against the northern border," the Washington research organization said in a November 2 note.

                • “How can this be fake if my son, who is there, told me about it? Nobody wants to hear the truth. How can it be fake when a child called at nine in the morning and shouted into the phone “Mom, help me”? He never complained in his life and did not say that he felt bad, but here there is despair and only fear in his voice.

It's not Japanese girl. япошка is a food delivery app, and that symbol is their logo. Think "UberEats: Boo! Real Orc Horrors here now." It suggests the orcs (how Ukrainians have been referring to the Russian military) delivering themselves. Whether that means cannibalism or simply direct-to-you Russian Asshole in 30 Minutes or Less is unclear.

I have no idea what's up with the Nuclear Goose, but that drawing is bad ass. The bottom left looks like Daddy Toilet surprising his Wife Appliance with a fresh batch of orcs, like flowers. I suppose the dryer's mouth could suggest the appliance looks forward to eating the orcs.

                          • This is crazy. This type of tweet showing the wives and mothers of newly mobilized troops is common. What I find odd is that they are all appealing to locally elected (?) officials like city or regional administrators/governors in hopes of affecting the plight of their loved ones that are being thrown at the UKs as cannon fodder. What do they expect the local official to be able to do? Why not appeal to some federal official? Or maybe this is how Russia works.

But not at all uncommon. This administrator decides to get physical with one of the complainers and finally suggests she get a gun and go defend the "lads" herself.

This also speaks to the problem of soldiers having and using social media during operations. Not only does it relay battlefield problems back home, but it is horrible for opsec. I can't believe the Russians haven't shut that down.

                            Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."
