To put SU to sleep. LDS Newsroom is like Ambien to that guy.

Agreed. I saw a rat on my front step yesterday - it was nasty. It definitely looked displaced.

          To help Romney get elected.

It's actually a pretty laughable story. Mentioning the remote possibility of a hantavirus or bubonic plague epidemic as a result of this storm is a joke.

Maybe the primary defensible purpose of a religion anymore is to do this kind of thing. It's what a religion does, like pulp mills make pulp. So it's always cause for rolleyes when LDS press releases and LAUte trumpet the practical and tangible things that the LDS church does to actually relieve human suffering. However, I've never seen anything that establishes particularly heroic or extreme actions in this regard.

You're a curmudgeon. They do plenty of good to help in these types of situations.

Hurricane Sandy is hitting 21 years to the day of the Perfect Storm of October 30, 1991. I write about this in my book as America Has Done to Israel. This was the day that President George Bush Sr. initiated the Madrid Peace Process to divide the land of Israel, including Jerusalem. America has been under God’s judgment since this event. Both of these hurricanes were cause by freakish weather patterns that came together to create

Twenty-one years breaks down to 7 x 3, which is a significant number with God. Three is perfection as the Godhead is three in one while seven is perfection.

It appears that God gave America 21 years to repent of interfering with His prophetic plan for Israel; however, it has gotten worse under all the presidents and especially Obama. Obama is 100 percent behind the Muslim Brotherhood which has vowed to destroy Israel and take Jerusalem. Both candidates are pro-homosexual and are behind the homosexual agenda. America is under political judgment and the church does not know it!

One of the grandest benefits of the enlightenment was the realization that our moral sense must be based on the welfare of living individuals, not on their immortal souls. Honest and passionate folks can strongly disagree regarding spiritual matters, so it's imperative that we not allow such considerations to infringe on the real happiness of real people.

Not a curmudgeon. Just a highly disciplined critic of the LDS Church.

Or Zorastrians. Not an effing negative word about Zorastrians.
                              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

Zoroastrians. There is a blueprint for the future of Mormonism. Someday people will ask what the hell ever happened to those guys.
