The jet ski guy is pretty funny. I saw another pic where there was one in the background of a reporter on the beach. I don't know if it was the same guy or not.
I don't know why they are chasing him. Let Darwin do his thing.

power is back on. It turns out that our neighborhood was really the only one in the neighborhood to lose power. A tree downed the main line and it was a relatively simple fix. A little over 12 hours before it was restored. Not bad, not bad at all.Dio perdona tante cose per un’opera di misericordia

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

I believe I read about this in the WSJ, but one interesting note about Al Gore is he left office in January 2001 having a net worth of less than $2 million. As of right now, he's worth around $100 million. Correspondingly, he had invested heavily in green energy companies prior to their receipt of a cumulative total of $2.5 billion from Obama's stimulus.Originally posted by Portland Ute View Post
Also, apparently the family of the Prime Minister of China is worth well over a $1 billion. Many in the upper reaches of that government are worth a helluva lot of coin. Membership has its privileges.Part of it is based on academic grounds. Among major conferences, the Pac-10 is the best academically, largely because of Stanford, Cal and UCLA. “Colorado is on a par with Oregon,” he said. “Utah isn’t even in the picture.”

Al Gore said global warming would create hurricanes? Were there hurricanes before humans existed? If so, I'd like Gore to explain why."Socialism is a philosophy of failure, the creed of ignorance and the gospel of envy; its inherent virtue is the equal sharing of misery." - Winston Churchill

Gore made his money by ripping off gullible idiots. I can't say I really blame him for taking advantage of imbeciles, but if anyone is a shady bastard, it's him.Originally posted by Color Me Badd Fan View PostI believe I read about this in the WSJ, but one interesting note about Al Gore is he left office in January 2001 having a net worth of less than $2 million. Our thoughts and prayers are with those impacted by post-tropical storm Sandy. Local Church leaders along the eastern coast of the United States have made preparations for the storm. Church representatives are in contact with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), The American Red Cross, Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) and other relief agencies to coordinate response efforts. Forty-two LDS volunteers are supporting Red Cross shelter operations in New Jersey and neighboring areas. The Church is working closely with the Red Cross to identify additional shelter locations if needed.Originally posted by SeattleUte View Post
The Church stands ready to assist affected communities. Emergency Response resources have been pre-positioned in Bishops Storehouses in the area. These resources include items such as food, water, blankets, hygiene supplies, tarps, cleaning supplies, chain saws and shovels.
Local Church leaders will make assessments in the coming days and coordinate with response partners to determine further relief efforts.
Mission presidents have taken precautions to protect the safety and well-being of missionaries.

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
