  • You deserve this Ron. The contempt of contemptible people:

"...you pointy-headed autopsy nerd. Do you think it's possible for you to post without using words like "hilarious," "absurd," "canard," and "truther"? Your bare assertions do not make it so. Maybe your reasoning is too stunted and your vocabulary is too limited to go without these epithets."

Never called someone a fascist for voting for a republican, JFC.

The only rational thing right now, if we are to preserve the country and save the conservative movement of which I’m a proponent, is to register as a democrat and vote straight ticket for 2 cycles.

I don’t see the argument for voting for anyone in the current GOP. They’ve all cosigned MAGA and sat by while Trump has brought us to the lowest common denominator.

We can have the debate about tax policy, healthcare, etc, after Trumpism is eradicated, and the only way that happens is if a significant chunk of conservatives vote with the democrats. It’ll allow the sane center right faction of the party to wrestle the party away from MAGA.

As long as you keep voting for down ticket and local GOP members it gives Trump and the movement fuel to continue.

Id say the exact same thing if Bernie or AOC or Liz was at the head of the DCCC to my left leaning friends.

        You are a child.
Ain't it like most people, I'm no different. We love to talk on things we don't know about.

This is an example that realistically couldn't apply to anyone. Even if you live in NH it's an open primary so no requirement to register as any party. And any other primary coming up it's likely over before then.

Ha. If true, that is probably the only thing you haven't called them.

And it would be just as pointless and irrational as it is now.

What other path is there to rid ourselves of Trump?

                Let’s game out two scenarios:

He wins - The GOP at this point becomes unredeemable. It now represents at min 49% of Americans. As a people we have twice elevated a crook who was impeached, found to be a sexual assaulter and tried to overthrow our government. How does that end? It doesn’t end with his retirement in 2028, and it doesn’t end with his death as he will serve as a clarion call for half the country. What kind of America will your grandkids inherit? What kind of political environment will that establish for a generation of kids who only know Trump? Who fills his cabinet, VP slot? It won’t be the Rex’s and Mattison’s, it’ll be Kash Patels and Elise Stefaniks and Matt Gaetz’s. He’ll be able to pardon all his crimes and will appoint people that will attack his political enemies.

He loses - you think he concedes? The GOP is full is sycophants at the local, state and federal level. The local parties have been corrupted and a generation of young voters and a majority of the GOP will think that Trump was scammed out of 3 elections. You think that scenario ends well for the country over the next 10 years? He will stay the focal point of the GOP because the current leadership and a majority of elected officials owe their careers to him. The party is willing to have a possible convicted felon at its head, at this point it’s almost unredeemable.

The only shot we have is if people vote straight ticket dem. You literally have zero other power. RVAT had it right last election cycle, but now the focus has to expand to getting a percentage of folks to take a temporary leave from the party.

You seem to think it’s irrational, explain the rational case for how we move on from Trump.

The notion that the way to destroy trump is for the small percentage of moderates in the republican party to stop supporting moderates is laughably naive and ignorant. Yeah, let's make sure that moderate local candidates like Spencer Cox who are hated by the MAGA crowd are destroyed politically. You think if moderates who are clearly in the minority in the republican party stopped supporting Cox that some obscure democratic candidate is going to win the governor's race? Or the MAGA candidate running against him. Good grief. This is ridiculous.

MAGA is just populism driven by a charismatic con man who knows what buttons to push. The best way for MAGA to end is for Trump to get his ass kicked in the presidential election. Or have a stroke.

I don't think it's unreasonable to get rid of any GOP legislative majority. This majority in the House is just doing Trump's bidding anyway. Speaker Johnson admits as much he gets on the phone w Trump for his marching orders. I don't care how moderate your local Rep is-- they are going to toe the line.

                            • Also, Trumpism/MAGA has led to significant losses for republicans in the senate and the house, especially in the 2022 elections. Did that make a dent in support for Trump among his base? Not at all. You guys keep acting like these are rational people making rational decisions. They aren't.

Fusnik has argued that Mitt Romney and Liz Cheney are MAGA republicans. Try to keep up, kiddo.
