I'm sure he was given a quick rundown by his staff. This is this election's Steele Dossier. I'm sure there will be a few others dog whistles to create anxiety prior to the election.Originally posted by chrisrenrut View Post
Seems real enough to me. And it must be not great if Trump says he both doesn’t know what it is, and at the same time disagrees with some of its “abysmal” tenets.

There are organizations on both the left and the right that have weird agendas that will never be implemented by their chosen candidate.

So Miller had a serious influence over Trump's immigration policies. He has even been thrown around as a possibility for AG. Those are just a few of the links. This is believable stuff. It's out in the open. Keep in mind Trump and his followers tried to overthrow the will of the people. He has zero interest in protecting democracy at the expense of seizing power.Originally posted by Moliere View Post
Trump is a known liar, but he doesn’t seem to lie about policy positions very much. In fact, one reason I didn’t worry when he got elected in 2016 was that I also thought he wouldn’t do everything he said he’d do. Well, sure enough he was probably the most loyal to the crazy promises he made. I’m inclined to believe him that he’s not beholden to the 2025 Project.
That doesn’t mean his cabinet members won’t be beholden to it, but it’s not something that gives me much pause.
He will be less restrained this time around.

I'm not sure dislike is the correct word. I think you like to virtue signal and that you have emotional reactions. You do not handle pushback very well.Originally posted by frank ryan View PostShaka, I can appreciate you have some personal dislike of me, but I think the idea that you will likely be a 3x Trump voter informs the quality of your political insight. So I'm actually reassured that you don't have similar concerns.
I clearly stated why I voted for Trump. My primary reason was I new that whever was elected would get to reshape the Supreme Court. Many scoffed at this reasoning but the country didn't go to hell under Trump and anyone paying attention knows that the Roberts lead Supreme Court has been a major player in the last several years. In my view my vote paid off in a major way. Also Hilary is far more corrupt than Trump so there was no way I was going to vote for her.
Your quality political insights comment is hilarious to me. Not surprising though.

God. A.K.A, Jill Biden... and HunterOriginally posted by Maximus View Post
How is he going to go from only God can get me to quit to quitting in weeks ? His actual advisors aren't in this camp
https://www.dailywire.com/news/jill-...en-quit-reportJill Biden, Hunter Biden Are ‘Dead Set’ On Not Letting Biden Quit: Report
First lady Jill Biden and convicted felon Hunter Biden are reportedly “dead set” on not letting President Joe Biden drop out from the 2024 presidential race.
[...]
Jill Biden’s ex-husband, Bill Stevenson, slammed her in an interview over the weekend with the New York Post, saying that she has turned into “a completely different woman.”
Stevenson previously said that Jill’s relationship with Joe began as an affair that they had while he was still married to her.
“I just don’t understand why she is so adamant about defending him and keeping him in the race since it appears that he’s struggling,” Stevenson said. “It appears that he’s struggling with everybody these days.”
Top presidential historian Douglas Brinkley said earlier this year that Jill Biden was a power-hungry woman who is doing the opposite of what many first ladies have done: encouraged their husbands to not run for re-election.
“She likes power. She wants to stay. She wants some sense of revenge,” he said. “She teaches in Virginia Community College. This milieu around our building here, this is her home. And the idea of relinquishing it all after you’ve taken the slings and arrows of the last years of attacks, and at the last minute, just when you get all the delegates you’re going to say, I’m going to open it up to a bunch of people — it’s very childish when you read those kind of reports.”"If there is one thing I am, it's always right." -Ted Nugent.

This retort doesn't address his point about saying things out in the open not being a dog whistle. What counterpart on the democratic side is being ignored? What crazy think tank with serious historical power and relevance as well as the involvement of some Biden's inner circle are threatening violence?Originally posted by USUC View Post

These "crazies" are very much part of Trump-land
Your thoughts genuinely make me think but I feel like you come from a place where both parties being consistently the same kind of bad is central to your paradigm. I think in MAGA world that such a notion is not longer dependable.

My nickname for Joe Biden is catching on...
https://nypost.com/2024/07/05/opinio...senile-denial/ABC interview proves that Joe Biden is in complete senile denial
George Stephanopoulos, former Bill Clinton adviser and the ultimate Democratic insider, held an intervention masquerading as an interview Friday night.
Rather than ask tough questions about President Biden’s mental deficiencies and the message it sends to our allies and enemies, he begged in a dozen different ways:
Do you really think you can beat Donald Trump?
Are you fooling yourself about how sharp you are?
Please Grampa Joe, hand over the car keys!
[...]
Stephanopoulos rightly pointed out that “exhaustion” was a weird excuse, considering he had more than a week of rest at Camp David (with 11 am work calls and afternoon naps).
[On his low approval rating...]
“I don’t believe that’s my approval rating. That’s not what our polls show,” Biden said.
Stephanopoulos was stunned, and with him every Democratic elite.
Really?
Denial, or senile?
Either way, Biden’s not fit for the office, and has entered that stubborn stage of grumpy old man that wants you all off his lawn.
“If the Lord Almighty said get out of the race, I’d get out of the race,” he said.
“The Lord Almighty’s not coming down.”
Maybe not, but the voters are going to come down hard in November.
Democrats don’t have a prayer.
