Whether you believe these war games reports or not, we would have to be flat out insane to start a war with China.

We are both warewolves and have each other by the ears. We need them. They need us. When they invade Taiwan, it will be interesting to see how we handle it.

Maybe similar to how we handled it when Russia invaded Crimea.

When it comes to findings of war games, I don’t think that is hard intel to get for adversaries.
JL is right tho we’d be crazy to start a war with China and not just because of the armed combat portions of the conflict. We’d have hands full with economic and cyber warfare activities like crazy.

Of course. I don't see anyone arguing we should.

I don't know one way or the other, but I'm interested in why you think this info is so easy to get (the real info).

War games usually involve multiple nations. It's hard to keep that info contained when so many personal are involved. For example, when we war game with South Korea, DPRK is guaranteed to have some assets (spies) involved who cam pass on basic intel, not to mention if communications are compromised at all (Russia's and China's equivalents of the NSA and militaries etc would be keenly alert). Recently Russia (with the Solar Winds hack and influence with Trump admin) and China (including the OPM hack in the later years of the Obama admin) more than has their work cut out for them.

The jobs were so low that CNBC thought there had to be a mistake...

I wonder why the jobs report is so low. You would think that after being unemployed or underemployed for up to 13 months, people would be eager to get back to work. But Businesses have been complaining about not finding any workers, especially in low paying service jobs. Could it be that the unemployment compensation is dissuading some from returning to work?

Yes, I think this is a significant factor.

I think there are a lot of unique factors at work here. People aren't excited to get back to low paying jobs when we're not quite through the pandemic. It'll be a slow burn back to normalcy.

The unemployment comp does play a factor but probably not as big of one as some think. It’s also a lack of daycare opportunities, which is compounded with schools still remote in a lot of places. Also the fear of working those jobs, which are mostly client interfacing, and thus possibly getting Covid. As vaccinations continue and summer begins, things will change and things will hopefully be more normal in the fall when all schools open up.
"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf
