  • I am so frustrated with my swing right now I don't know if golf is worth spending another dollar on it.

    • Got out on Friday and played a round. Didn't drive the ball as well as I would have liked and my iron game still sucks big time. I messed up pretty bad on two or three holes but other than that the round was pretty similar to what I'm used to which is bogey golf. I'm trying to play more often and hit a bucket a week to get back to being more consistent with my iron play. Here's my scorecard from this weekend:

"Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

      • CJ and I played in a 4 man scramble today. It was fun, even if our score sucked.

I had a lot of fun. Craziest day I have had in a while on the golf course.

First 4-5 holes I was average at best, next 4-5 holes I was downright awful got the yips, shanking everything just horrible. Last 3-4 holes I played pretty well my driver was a lot better I hit quite a few iron shots in tight.

Also Coach was bombing the ball off the tee, one drive we marked off at 330, then he had another one that was close to that on a par 5 after his drive we were only about 150 out.

After the scramble I went and played 18 more holes at Thanksgiving Pointe and I played fairly well shooting an 87. At that course in the wind I was happy with my score. Once again my irons were on fire, but that course is so long that I was hitting hybrid in to every green which is never a good thing.

36 holes of golf finished up with 2 softball games last night, long day.

That was a lot of hard work. You try to play 36 holes of golf at a high level, then go 8 for 9 in two softball games.

You did put it tight to the hole a few times. Not as tight as Dick, but close.

                    Define high level.

I could go 8-9 easy if I am just trying to get on base.

He is talking about a par 3 closest to the hole, where I put it within about 6 feet but Dick Watson was about 2 feet away. Also this Mary chick was closest to pin on like 2 other holes. We couldnt believe that Dick was actually inside Mary on that hole.

The goal is to get on base right? The one time I got out I had my hardest hit of the night a line drive to short, the shortstop was about 6'4 and rose up, snow coned the ball and robbed me of a hit.

Everything I do is at a high level. Thanksgiving Pointe had a tournament yesterday morning, the course was playing really tough. I am very happy with my score. That is an 80 on any other course.

Sure. I could drop a single in over the infield all day. But I am usually trying to gap something and get extra bases.

Speaking of softball, I know a Dick Watson. His daughter was a AA at BYU.

That sounds like a high level of softball

No need to say anything about this.
