    When Philip Roth died, I revisited him and finally got around to reading The Plot Against America. Happy to see that HBO is making it into a movie.

      Finally caught Uncut Gems. Really liked it. Top 5 movie of the year for me. Frenzied pace but also some things that leave you thinking. I'm a big Adam Sandler fan when it comes to serious movies (Punch Drunk Love, Spanglish) so I guess I'm biased, but I'm pretty surprised he got no Oscar nod on this.

              Adam Sandler is a scary actor with the emotions. Really good. It makes me wonder what could have been since the 'Jew Bear' role in 'Inglourious Basterds' that went to Eli Roth was written for Sandler by Tarantino. He would have absolutely owned that role.

                Finally was able to go see Jojo Rabbit. Best film I have seen in the past couple of years. The actor who played Jojo was phenomenal.

                  I'm looking forward to watching it again after it starts streaming Wednesday. JoJo and his best friend ("It's definitely not a good time to be a Nazi") were great. I enjoyed the movie much more than I did Parasite.

                        Supposedly on Amazon Prime, VuDu, Google Play and a few others. The cost will probably be around $5 but it's worth it. Of all the Best Picture nominees, it's the one I'm most interested in seeing a second time.

                            I loved it. Would like my family to see it.

                            I watched Parasite and 1917 this week while out of town for work. Both were good, but not great.
