We need to find out if Moliere (where has he been btw?) fell asleep during it.

    • If you're a Linda Ronstadt fan, or simply enjoy a good music-related documentary, I strongly recommend Linda Ronstadt, The Sound of My Voice. You can buy or rent it on Amazon Video, iTunes, and other platforms. Well worth the four bucks or whatever. That woman had a set of pipes and amazing range, from touching ballads to flamethrowing rock.

That may be all I need to know.

AND she and Peabo Bryson straight rocked the theme to Don Bluth's An American Tale.

              • After Truth: Disinformation and the Cost of Fake News is outstanding. I wasn't very familiar with Operation Jade Helm (when a substantial part of the population, including a lot of Texans, believed Obama was having the military train to impose martial law so that he could imprison his opponents), Pizzagate (Hillary, George Soros, and others, running a pedophile ring at a gay-owned pizza joint in D.C), the murder of Seth Rich (at Hillary's command, supposedly because he leaked the Podesta emails to Wikileaks), the claim that Robert Mueller had committed a sexual assault, etc. This documentary shows how each fake story came to be and how both extremes on the political spectrum (although it's focused on the extreme right) use truly fake news to persuade depressingly large numbers of gullible people.

Political operatives employing these tactics (Jack Burkman, Jerome Corsi, and Alex Jones, among others) are surprisingly candid in revealing what scummy people they are. It's currently on HBO and is very much worth a watch. If you have time.

In other words, a documentary about Ted's twitter feeds and post history (seriously though, Ted did perpetuate some of those ideas in this forum). The governor of Texas played into the whole Jade Helm thing and even called out the Texas Guard. Pretty shameful and disgusting, and also increasing mainstreamed republican behavior.

                    • I guess this is an OK place to put this...

Something somebody said triggered me into remembering "Love American Style" from my youth. I looked it up on YouTube and there's all kinds of episodes. I ended up watching this one. It doesn't age well with the dynamics of men and women and marriage.

One of many very disturbing segments in the film shows a town hall meeting in Bastrop County that the resident judge convened to help answer questions from concerned citizens about Jade Helm. A Lt. Colonel spoke and described what would happen, that the exercise was taking place in four states, etc. The meeting opened up for Q&A, and the first question shown in the film came from a guy who said, speaking to the judge, "...I didn't believe a single thing he just said," and the crowded courtroom erupts in applause and shouts--a roomful of close-minded people who weren't going to be persuaded otherwise.

I'm sure that if you asked most of those in the room if they realize now that they were mistaken or misled by the Alex Jones types, their response would be absolutely not, and that because they were vigilant, the military/Obama/deep state were forced to back down from their nefarious plan.

Equally troubling is the damage that the utterly groundless Seth Rich rumor, the Pizzagate nonsense, and the fabricated Mueller sexual assault claim have inflicted upon innocent people. BTW, Hannity was an enthusiastic participant in all that and yet Trump deflects the fake news accusations to CNN, the NYT and the Washington Post (and hold your fire, Ted--yes they all have a liberal bias, and make mistakes which they try to correct--but that is not fake news, it's human error; fake news is intentionally or recklessly conveying false information).

It's important to remember how close Hannity and Trump are which makes the whole thing even more disgusting. Fox News only distanced itself from the Seth Rich bs because of a lawsuit, iirc.

Tonight during CFM we watched the BOM video from this week of Jacob and Sherim. As Sherim is giving his last confession/testimony, my 6 year old yells out, "He's not dead yet". Then my 11 year old says "Bring out your dead". Scripture study for the win.

In 1977 - it was the midnight movie at the local theater for over a year. We used to sneak in and yell out the lines... This was all before Rocky Horror - which I've still never seen.
