1) The number of QBs

2) The inexperience of those QBs.

Pulling this thread back on topic for a moment....

While in no, way, shape, or form is this recruiting class for Utah anywhere close to the top of the PAC-12, it is easy to see that it is one of the better classes we've had. On paper at least. In February.

The noticeable difference is the more looks we got from the so-called 4 star players, and the fact that we were able to nab 1 or 2 of them. Granted, Langi is a local kid, and that makes a difference, but I still think in previous years we lose him to a PAC-10 school. Plus, I don't think Henderson or Pomee give us so much as a sniff 2 years ago, while Pedroza and Denham are ones we potentially lose to teams like Oregon/Oregon State.

That being said, I fully expect several of these guys to not pan out. Its just the nature of the beast. It'll take several years of this type of recruiting to get the kind of quality depth we'll need going forward. I don't see any reason (outside of the ritual cannibalism some BYU fans say we perform up at the U) why we can't keep this level of recruiting though.

Good call because that would not be any sort of violation. Similar to Whit calling Cella and asking him to withhold highlights of a recruit so other teams do not discover him. Very ethical.

Agree totally. We would not have gotten Langi or Pedroza as an MWC team, nor would Eubank have done his fake gesture toward our hat, which would not even have been on the table.
