Since you forced the issue, I'll not be coy: your point is stupid and you should feel bad for making it.

The reason why people didn't say the same thing about Vince Young and Denard Robinson after their best rushing games is because they were also serviceable passers. Taysom Hill may yet be, but so far isn't. That doesn't mean that he should be switched to RB, but the reasoning for his staying there is different from why Young or Robinson stayed at QB.

When has Alabama struggled with recruiting?

I know we are all drunk on the drubbing of Texas but Alabama >x5,000,000 Texas.

I think Saban to Texas is about as likely as a meteor strike, but come on man. Five million?

It will be the Chris Peterson sweepstakes between USC and Texas. If he had a qb from Idaho he would probably stay in Boise!

I didn't say Bama struggled. I think it is a long shot that he leaves. But that won't stop rumors (that were going long before BYU destroyed Texas).

That is what it will take. But we all know Saban can be bought.

Brown's teams have almost always fallen short of potential. And while Coach Anae and the entire BYU team and staff deserve the lion's share of credit, that was just a terribly coached and unmotivated defensive unit out there on the field against us.
I wouldn't go that far. You must be forgetting the 2010 NC game. I am still convinced that had Colt McCoy not been injured in the first quarter, Texas would have won that game. And they have had some incredible defenses in the last 8-10 years. Just not in the current three-year downward spiral.

USC? Lol. You have a better chance of Seattle Ute being the next prophet. If Texas is silly (which it is), then USC is outlandish.

                    • Sorry. I thought we were still talking Saban. Read too fast. Peterson is more likely.

                      • I read the first 8 pages of this thread. I will just say some of you could have been benefitted by being raised in the 208! A few mornings like Lebowski's wife endured might help you to not only whine like the women of Srbrnca, but it might help you to understand in the game of football the purpose of the offense is to move the ball toward the opponents goal line and to score points. I will be around all year to help you all see the more excellent way of football insights.

There is a Boise in Alabama?

                          • I wonder about Petersen though. I think he is terrific. But Harsin sure got out of dodge quick there. But maybe after seeing Hugh Freeze and Gus Malzahn grab SEC jobs after short stints at Arkansas State he thought it might be a good stepping stone for him too.

Mack Brown is a sinking ship. Harsin was bailing from that and giving himself a shot to be the man. I think Peterson will end up at USC anyway.
