Of course he wasn't going to let it happen. I'm operating under the presumption that Bronco wants to win games.Originally posted by Hsaru View PostYeah that really bothered him in the Utah game in 2010 playing with his broken ribs, something happened in 2011 he lost all confidence in the offense. And we all know if there was an open QB competition he'd be our starter going into next year, but Bronco wasn't going to let that happen.

Not this again. I'm not a Riley guy. He's a High School QB with with a bad arm and good hair. But the fact that Riley Nelson sucks doesn't mean that Jake Heaps doesn't. How come they can't both suck?Originally posted by Hsaru View PostYeah that really bothered him in the Utah game in 2010 playing with his broken ribs, something happened in 2011 he lost all confidence in the offense. But Heaps was a 5 star recruit. He has to be better. He just has to be.Originally posted by Non Sequitur View PostNot this again. I'm not a Riley guy. I think it will be a sad, sad day for Jake Heaps and his family when this reality sinks in. Who knows, it might be that he turns a corner and tears it up, but if not then I think they will all be so very disappointed.Originally posted by Non Sequitur View PostNot this again. I'm not ready to make that judgment based on a bad string of games in a brand new O with a brand new OC after a strong end to his true freshman season.Originally posted by Non Sequitur View PostNot this again. It seemed like it.Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostLooks like a pretty decent outing. I'm guessing it was because he wasn't dealing with a clueless coordinator putting him in bad situations.
Lumping Jake's problems all on Doman is really a stretch. Doman had his struggles but Jake, at least to a degree, self destructed.

Fortunately I'm not doing that.Originally posted by Shaka View PostLumping Jake's problems all on Doman is really a stretch. Doman had his struggles but Jake, at least to a degree, self destructed.
But if Doman can blame himself for Jake's failings, I can, too.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

No, Jake was Rock Chalk Jayhawking and teaching primary lessons in Lawrence when Doman said this. He had no reason to do so, other than the fact that he was right and was being candid.Originally posted by Shaka View PostDoman was falling on his sword in an attempt to keep Jake around when he said that. Personally I'm blaming sabotaged game balls for Jake's problems.

He also said it before. I'm sure he was just trying to be consistent and humble!:box:Originally posted by MarkGrace View PostNo, Jake was Rock Chalk Jayhawking and teaching primary lessons in Lawrence when Doman said this.
