    We will.

IMO we have to be realistic though. Every team in Div 1 football has up years and rebuilding years. This year you don't have to look further than LSU.

This wouldn't have been one of the best teams we've had lately, regardless of the conference we're in.

The younger players on this team will get better and more experienced... and they will remember.

We are now in a position to compete against some of the very best... week in and week out.

When we again have the success you are speaking about... we won't have to make excuses for our strength of schedule.

Earning a Rose Bowl bid is every bit as tough as we heard it would be.

My opinion of you hasn't changed because of that, but it doesn't change my belief that it was a ridiculous viewpoint.

We knew being in the Pac-12 would be tougher, but any Utah fan who figured we would be the conference doormat three games in simply isn't being honest with him/herself. Now I'll say there's time to change that as it pertains to 2011, and 2012 brings a clean slate.

You've got me. I will cop to posting a hasty and loosely-worded response. SU said he's "too perpetually thrilled about our situation and our future to let losing get me down yet." Instead of asking "how can any Ute fan feel otherwise?" I should have said he's right and I am not down either, yet, but that we really do need to stop stinking up our own stadium and to get this team playing well enough to have a decent first year in the PAC-12. I think that is still possible.

I hereby amend my comments accordingly.

      • Fun stat: Out of 120 FBS programs, Utah is 120th in red zone rushing. They're average .25 yards a carry (9 yards on 34 carries). Memphis is the only other team that averages less than a yard per carry inside the red zone.

No, not a fun stat. Not fun at all

          • McGill out for the season with shoulder surgery.

Utah's list of serious injuries continues to lengthen, with the Utes announcing Monday that safety Keith McGill will have surgery Thursday to repair his shoulder.
McGill injured his shoulder in Utah's loss to Arizona State.
With Rogers getting injured against Pitt, that's 4 starters we've lost now.

That will go up after they play Utah.

Depth is the name of the game in the PAC. ASU has lost around 8 starters now (maybe more now I think?) and still are doing pretty well IMO.

although how did they do it so accurately?

Right...embarassing, but impressive at the same time.

I have refused to buy anything that has "PAC12" on it.

Although, I am weird. I also don't buy any gear that does not have a drum and feather on it.
