Perhaps Uona is just a student of the game to that level, but I find it alarming that one could deduce that our staff is that far behind.
In reading Bronco's comments, I get the impression that it's more innate than anything. I'm sure he learned quite a bit at USC, but I don't think it's what he's learned necessarily that Bronco is gushing about (though he definitely does reference his studying of the game). I think it's more about what he sees and feels naturally when he's out there. I guess I would liken it to being a point guard -- some guys have that court vision, awareness, and feel for the position that you just can't teach. To me it sounds like Uona has that kind of ability with football.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.

So did Jacobsen and Ogletree. Good to hear about McKay.

Jacobsen married a girl from Mapleton, Tree made a comment about Utah County girls being like Stepford Wives and all hell broke loose!

Preach it, brother! I'm sending this article to every dorky LDS kid that thinks he should be going to USC over BYU.
Fight On Uona! He's a good player, I'm glad he's found a place at BYU. He was always behind the 8 ball @ SC. His first year he sat behind Matthews, Cushing, Maualuga & Maiava. Then he was moved around his second year and never really allowed to compete at Mike; I've always felt he was perfect for the middle.

We get stuck with Chris "I haven't shed a block in my 5 years @ Troy" Galippo, who then lost his job to a converted DE, bringing chaos to our LB corps. Uona, in the mean time doesn't feel any love, hears the sweet siren's song of Utah County and is now being showered with adulation from Bronco.
                  Damn you Reggie Bush!!!

Anyways, please enjoy the ready for primetime football players that we've sent your way and I'll let you know if you should expect anymore in the near future.

What's Reggie Bush got to do with it. Unfortunately (or maybe not) for BYU, the NCAA didn't allow Uona to play last year under the Reggie Bush sanctions transfer rules.

My question. Is he still a Jr? He says he played 2 years at USC.

I forgot he was on the team. He caught maybe 10 passes and recovered an onside kick. Thanks for letting him leave and become his sister's babysitter.

Our secondary needs some help. Would you send us your best coverage corner? Also, we're pretty thin at OL, would you send us a couple of fat guys as well?

I do believe I stated then and still feel the same way that that ruling was an enormous blessing in disguise. Uona would have helped the team last year, no doubt. However, the reality is that last years squad was going to struggle due to the lack of experience on offense. However, that will not be the case Uona's SR year.

I wish we would have redshirted Brian Kehl his first year home from his mission as well. He would have made a huge difference on that 2008 team.

Just another in long and infamous history of insufferable asshats from the Conejo Valley. At least Brynn was hot!

Just listened to the Cougar Center podcast with Jan. They asked him who he thought was the most impressive of the newcomers. He said he's been very impressed with Fandango and Kav and thinks they'll help the D quite a bit, but the most impressive to him so far is Hadley. Said he's done a great job at corner and can play some safety and will definitely see the field. Also mentioned that he knows Bronco has been impressed by him.

Other than that they talked about the new coaches and Jan said he really likes them and thinks they are all very positive and all the more negative personalities have been removed from the staff.
So Russell...what do you love about music? To begin with, everything.
