I've seen that excuse before and am very happy with where I stand in this little vignette.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

I very much appreciate your coming to my defense. You might also mention that I was declared MVP as well.

Update on daughter: moved in today, tomorrow will go out shopping for supplies, Friday I fly away. We rented a Flex; I like that car.

        Haha.

It's all good, I'm a practicing, mostly non-believing Mormon who has been 'round and round with Apologists and crititcs alike.

Really SU? A 1954 talk by Mark E. Petersen? Let go man; forgive your father. He loved you, but had a hard time showing it.

I'll put it in terms you'll be sure to understand. The MWC currently pays them one asswipe to put them on TV. On their own, ESPN and KSL will pay them 8 or 9 asswipes. They've also got this truck that's worth like 45 asswipes that ESPN would like to borrow sometimes. BYU doen't have anything like it and will be willing to pays a lot of asswipes for the flexibility of using it. Also, because of both the truck and the HDTV facility on BYU campus, BYU can do much of the work that ESPN would normally have to do, making ESPN more willing to pay even more asswipes for the rights to televise games. They're stacking the asswipes high and deep at BYU. But it wasn't until after Utah left that Holmoe and the rest of the AD realized 'there are a whole lot of untapped asswipes running around loose over here. Then Holmoe secured a bunch more asswipes for BYU than Utah looks like thyre going to get. Utah took their asswipes for granted. But until the PAC-12 (Pathetic Asswipe Conference) gets a decent contract, there's really not all that many asswipes to go around. The PAC-12 has supposedly retained JG Wentworth as their main counsel - They're our asswipes and we want them now!

          Damn I'm tired...

So, is BYU still going through with this?

It's not hard to figure out what would happen in that situation:

-The nickname is changed from "Utes" to "F**k BYU" (or TDS)
-The logo is changed from the drum-and-feather to that "screw the Y" logo.
-The words to the fight song are altered to include a mention of Mormons/BYU/Cougars/Bronco in every line.
-All advertising mocks or references BYU.

Dear God, it would be horrible.

On behalf of BYU, I would like to formally apologize for the horrible racist talk given by MEP on the BYU campus in 1954. It is a shameful and regrettable episode in our history that never should have happened. This WAC prenup article was pretty interesting. Seems like the move to independence would have been a good deal for byu.

                            Some of my thoughts:

"WAC to provide BYU with a minimum of four football games per year and a maximum of six football games per year — not counting any long-term scheduling agreement that may be contracted with Hawaii or Utah State," the MOU said. "For the 2011 season, two games will be played in WAC Stadiums and four games will be played at BYU. For 2012 season, three games will be played in WAC stadiums and three games at BYU. Beginning in 2013, half of all games played will be played in WAC stadiums and half will be played at BYU."
2011 home schedule for byu would be/would have been absolutely atrocious. 4 WAC teams, a Div II team and one other team to be named later. They probably wouldnt get a big time home game as most all teams are all booked for 2011 but one year of crappy schedule for the future might be worth it.

Well I was too late. You already edited, the last quote.

2011 would have been bad, but not much worse than every even year schedule in the mwc.

                                As was stated elsewhere:

BYU is a big prize and that's why our Ute brethren here are so captivated by all of this and can't help but respond derisively—their insecurities are on full display. They settled for sister wife status in a comfortable home with no love and BYU is asserting it's first wife status demands.
It's ok Ute fans, not everyone can be a first wife.
