I'll put it in terms you'll be sure to understand. The MWC currently pays them one asswipe to put them on TV. On their own, ESPN and KSL will pay them 8 or 9 asswipes. They've also got this truck that's worth like 45 asswipes that ESPN would like to borrow sometimes. BYU doen't have anything like it and will be willing to pays a lot of asswipes for the flexibility of using it. Also, because of both the truck and the HDTV facility on BYU campus, BYU can do much of the work that ESPN would normally have to do, making ESPN more willing to pay even more asswipes for the rights to televise games. They're stacking the asswipes high and deep at BYU. But it wasn't until after Utah left that Holmoe and the rest of the AD realized 'there are a whole lot of untapped asswipes running around loose over here. Then Holmoe secured a bunch more asswipes for BYU than Utah looks like thyre going to get. Utah took their asswipes for granted. But until the PAC-12 (Pathetic Asswipe Conference) gets a decent contract, there's really not all that many asswipes to go around. The PAC-12 has supposedly retained JG Wentworth as their main counsel - They're our asswipes and we want them now!

It's not hell as much as it is a little mystifying. Threads get hijacked constantly, but you only get called on it if the person (in this case Beezebabette) doesn't like you (ticked her off in the Foyer a week back).

The founding myth of CUF is the following (and as a member of the CUF trinity this is completely authoritative): CUF exceptionalism ... It doesn't really exist but it is a foundational myth so you shouldn't fight it. Importantly, when CUF descends into normal message board pablum we naturally assume that it isn't ... because ... well ... it can't be ... we are exceptional after all.
