Your friends are giving you air high fives as there is only 2 pieces of polyester separating you from your divine date.

Later, at the group after party, you are amazed that end up alone with Ms. Shiner in her bedroom(despite the dogged efforts of all of the adult chaperones). As you kiss and gently caress, your pulse quickens and a thin layer of sweat starts to form on your skin. You decide to ignore the pervasive voice of Mr. Higgenbotham(the seminary teacher) who warned you about the evils of finding yourself in such a situaton. Your hands are shaking as you try to unbutton the back of her formal dress. To your amazement, your voluptous date helps you with the buttons. Her dress slips down to her waist, and only a thin satin cloth separates you from her dazzling 34D's. You reach around her back, and to your astonishment, you are able to undo the strap on your first try. Her bra slides gently down her arms. You start to reach to give them a gentle caress, when your alarm clock wakes you, and realize that you are alone in your own bed

As you are hauling your sheets to the washing machine, you sadly realize that you are more likely to reach 2nd base with Ms. Shiner than the chancellors are to nix Pac-10 expansion
you deserved it, this was artful.

So when you're confronted with idiotic arguments are you supposed to start a new thread?? Relax and use this awesome new feature on your mouse called "scroll." In the meantime, I'll cease my discussion on logic (while I inwardly laugh at SU for inadvertently proving my point).

When stepping into the middle of my semi-weekly pie fight with SU it's bad form to criticize the topping on of a particular pie.

That said, it would be equally wrong to conclude, as SU's chum implied, that BYU's recent moves commenced only after, and were solely in response to, Utah's PAC-10 invitation.

Butthead is a little nicer and sends a strong message. When I was Scoutmaster I used to tell the boys that no buttheads were allowed in camp. YOhio would have been sent home.

What is it about a $#itload of money that you don't understand?

Absolute worst case scenario - BYU multiplies it's revenue from broadcasting by 7 or 8 over the next five years or so, realizes it can't schedule well enough to ever have a reasonable chance at respect, and ends up either going back to whatever mediocre mid-major conference exists at the time, or dropping football altogether.

But if it does nothing over the next five years, and stays in the 'new and improved' MWC, it's in the same boat. The MWC has absolutely no future.

A more likely scenario - the new partnership with ESPN pays-off in spades. Recruiting ticks-up because of five or six prime-time appearances on ESPN each year. Money is better than could have been imagined in the MWC, and ensures that BYU can buy a schedule that guarantees an annual bowl appearance (hello Holiday Bowl!) and that's difficult enough to garner national attention - conference or no conference.

Best case scenario - BYU show's it can bring some things to the table and gets a Big 12 invite before ever playing a down as an Independent...

Take it back to the geek thread, guys. We're an organized bunch here and we don't like to go to our favorite football thread and read about seventh grade bra sizes and vernacular.
