    That might solve the short-term stability problem of the Big 12 but not the long term instabily that will be caused by larger schools having a proprietary network while the others go without. If I'm Missouri or Kansas and I'm asked to sign on the dotted line to commit to the Big 12 with steep exit penalties, I'm asking Dan Beebe: "Where's my proprietary network?". The only thing that will result in Big 12 stability is to have a conference network.
    One problem with the Big Ten Network is the Big Ten conference is now the minority owner. As long as the Big Ten gets along with Fox life is good.

                      It is all about team branding which translates to selling t-shirts.

                      UT is showing UTSA games on the LHN (at least this year). I assume that the OU network will include OU's brother's, OSU's, games as well. The exclusive branding thing may not work so well on the Okie Network given the little brother, however.

                              The Sooner network could be awesome. Lots of pictures of grazing cattle, maybe some tornado preparedness shows, throw in a reality show on Indian reservation casino life and an OU vs Oral Roberts basketball game and you've got a channel destined for wide distribution.
