I suppose if we run out of material we can always borrow from the modern megalopolis that is the state of Utah.

I'm sure they could show a few westerns ... after all this whole business reminds me a little of the gun fight at OK coral:

But won't Okie St. lay claim to the Western genre? They are the Cowboys after all. Perhaps OU needs to partner with Okie St.

So that would leave the Musical genre for the Sooners. And who could forget the always popular Rodgers and Hammerstein musical... Oklahoma!

Oklahoma to decide future in 10 days to two weeks per P-D. http://bit.ly/q1f84z
From the linked article. Deaton is MU's chancellor

But until the OU matter is firmed up, Deaton acknowledged the conference can't pursue repopulating to 10 schools or revisiting discussions to go back to 12.

"We don't want to reach out there too far right now," he said, "(because) we want to make sure we have the building blocks in place and the cement to strengthen where we are today."

OU's board of regents is to meet Monday night, but Deaton said he had no sense of whether the answer would be established then.

"I just have had an understanding that within 10 days to two weeks we were likely to have some indication of where things stood, but with no firm deadlines there," he said. "We're being patient and working together, and certainly right now we're in a little bit of a position where we need for Oklahoma to give us a sense of what they're thinking about and take it from there."

Here is where you misunderstand BYU... The WORLD is our campus. I know for a fact that is significantly larger than Oklahoma. Only marginally larger than Texas.

Remember the reach of BYU football goes beyond any boundaries. Do you think the angels of heaven root for any ole team, or God's team?

As I understand it they don't have reproductive organs. Somehow that makes me wonder whether they even like football.

Knock it off. This board has enough problems without a dose of middle-age lechery.

How do they make more angels? It is a static number isn't it?

                          • It's on the agenda

The school's board of regents has posted the agenda for Monday's meeting. It's a single paragraph that says the board will consider switching conference affiliation, and any legal ramifications of such a move.

The agenda says the regents may discuss the topic behind closed doors and "take any appropriate action."
We already knew this was going to be discussed, but I guess it's official now. What does everyone think? Are they gone?

Well, I guess if they were intent on staying they wouldn't need to discuss anything. They'd just make a statement.
                              Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!!

For all this His anger is not turned away, but His hand is stretched out still.

Not long ago an obituary appeared in the Salt Lake Tribune that said the recently departed had "died doing what he enjoyed most—watching BYU lose."

This is part of KDogs master Instability plan to lure PAC schools to the B12. USC, UCLA, Arizona, and Arizona State should jump ship any day now. What would really seal the deal at this point would be an independent audit revealing that the B12 is bankrupt. At that point, even Notre Dame wouldn't be able to say no.
