I would really object to having Utah in the B12.Originally posted by TripletDaddy View PostReunited and it feels so good......
1. From a revenue perspective, there's not much difference in market gain than Wyoming. And I'd much rather drink with Landpoke than SU.
2. Utah, from an academic perspective, is not close enough to BYU and UT.
3. There's no national draw association with Utah...no real established history of football excellence and their basketball program is in shambles.
4. U of who? What? Utah? Isn't that a community college?

I didn't even mention your analogy.Originally posted by creekster View PostI am glad you took the effort to point out that you think the analogy doesnt work. I am sorry you dont like it. I did. C'est la vie.
although I agree that it doesn't work. I was simply saying that I don't think SeattleUte predicted all of these events.

The 'demands' are perfect. I already explained the unequal revenue sharing. It is so close to even right now that this only helps the BIG 12 image by making the last little bit 'equal'.Originally posted by LiveCoug View Post
I said it from the beginning. Someone asked my impressions when this first started. I said this smells more like a ploy to bring in a bigger fish...
But ploy or not, lets look at the outcome of all this:
1. The SEC cannot add any teams of value without either pissing off Florida or Georgia.
2. They are forced to take teams like wvu/ecu/ect... which will destroy old rivalries.
3. This will cause instability inside the SEC.
4. The B1G is looking as uncertain as ever. Read this thread for explanation:
http://www.shaggybevo.com/board/show....this-is-weird
There is a crack there that threatens to form a rift.
5. The Irish came face to face with the reality of Independence is a thing of the past. Depending on more raids on the BIG EAST, they might have to make a move as soon as next year.
6. The PAC is out of expansion options that add anything of value. (not knocking BYU, but they already said no. We all know BYU was blackballed over religion.)

I'd like to hear some of the arguments that the PAC is a better football conference than the Bug 12, because honestly I have no idea where to start.Originally posted by LA Ute View PostI really think you guys are in, as soon as the other members of thewarring familyBig 12 get their undershorts untwisted. I really hope so, anyway. The annual rivalry game would be awesome. Plus, we'll have endless "our BCS conference is better than yours" smack. The fun will be neverending."Discipleship is not a spectator sport. We cannot expect to experience the blessing of faith by standing inactive on the sidelines any more than we can experience the benefits of health by sitting on a sofa watching sporting events on television and giving advice to the athletes. And yet for some, “spectator discipleship” is a preferred if not primary way of worshipping." -Pres. Uchtdorf

Gaffords, stick around long enough and you'll find plenty of opportunities like this. It's almost as easy as picking apart aggy (though NOTHING is that easy!).
The Utes and their 45,000 seat Texas high school stadium believe that they somehow belong in the Pac16 beyond simple religious discrimination and are the greatest Pac12 shrills known to man.
