It has everything to do with the B12 expansion... If the longhorn network didn't get on TWC then UT would have no choice but to join the SEC. This is now not the case and B12 expansion is just around the corner. Mark my post.

WTF is this? Conferences do not keep schools out because they are too good and they will bring in too much money and notoriety for the conference.

I always think it's funny when they complain about BYU's "older" players. I think missions hurt more than they help.

We need in the Big 12. I have wished this would happen for 20 years.

Watched some of it on the DVR, as much as I could handle. Was driving back from Provo on Saturday so I missed the game. Nebraska plays Southern Miss next Saturday and has a week to figure out how to play defense (600+ yards to Wyoming is not a good sign) and to quit making stupid mistakes on offense like illegal procedure on 3rd-and-1 (multiple times!). UCLA visits in 2 weeks and Nebraska better improve or they will lose by multiple TDs. At least it was a win. Moral of the story: be ahead by multiple TDs before your QB throws a pick late in the game to change the momentum. I'm begining to think Taysom Hill and Taylor Martinez are clones.

I would kind of (KIND of) understand 600 yards of offense given up if the game were in Laramie above 7000 feet. Weird things happen there. But getting so thoroughly embarassed defensively in a home opener is crazy. I'm kind of glad TWC in NYC doesn't have the Big Ten Network.

I didn't hear it but I bet he said the new LHN contract with time warner is huge. Look what Daddy DeLoss said about it...

It is not a big deal... It is a "huge" deal. It seems that the LHN has reach critical mass and most likely will be around for good now. It will be interesting to see if the Ole Miss games stays on the LHN now. Before there was a good chance of it being moved to ESPN.

If the LHN turned out to be a failure there would be a good chance that UT would just do something crazy like join the SEC and bring OU along, IMO. Now that the LHN (and the B12) is looking a little more long term it is time to think about expansion. Do you really think the B12 will be given a BCS playoff spot long term with only ten teams and no championship game?
