Why is everybody acting like Notre Dame to the Big 12 is a good thing.

That leaves just one more spot to grab, us against Louisville (or Cincy, Boise, whatever). I don't love our chances in that scenario.

I think what the Family Von Clueless is hinting at is that Notre Dame won't be going to the B12. Instead, Notre Dame and BYU will go as a package deal to the B1G, rounding out their expansion to 14 teams.

It might be more believable had you left off that introductory clause.
Though it does line up with what Chip Brown is saying re: Notre Dame.

Opportunities to play "across" the country rather than being limited to a geographically based conference....... Just like ND and the service academies are not geographically-based, neither is BYU.

The end game from the BOT perspective isn't about BCS access, but rather alignment with those of common interests and exposure to a broader audience.
