Welcome LamarCard. Although the official invite is still pending, I too look forward to welcoming our new Big 12 overlords. Welcome to the board.Originally posted by LamarCard View PostI didn't graduate from a Big 12 school nor BYU. I graduated from an FCS school, but I'm a fan of the Big 12. The realignment news is interesting, and I've been following this thread for a few weeks now. This is driving me crazy. I can only imagine how all of you feel.
I hope BYU winds up in the Big 12. With the addition of TCU, I think the Big 12 strengthens itself if it adds BYU also. In my wildest dreams, ND would add the non-football sports with a late season football scheduling guarantee. This way, rivalries can begin to be developed between BYU, TCU, BU, and ND. I think people would really buy into these rivalries, and the conference, as well as all of the schools, would greatly benefit from it.
Sorry to change the course of the thread away from Mizz, but I decided I finally wanted to chime in."Sure, I fought. I had to fight all my life just to survive. They were all against me. Tried every dirty trick to cut me down, but I beat the bastards and left them in the ditch."

At this point, the Big 12 should invite BYU for 2012 and Louisville for 2013 regardless of what MU does. Then if MU leaves, invite WVU to complete the 2013 12 team conference. The conference needs to stop sitting on its laurels and act.Don't worry about people stealing your ideas. If your ideas are any good, you'll have to ram them down people's throats.

Agree completely. And if the Missoura BoCurators wants to include the UofKansas in their evil scheming, they/the Chiefs/Jackson County and anyone else involved are gonna pay. How much is a game at camarohead worth to KU? Right now, each school is guaranteed $1,000,000 by the Chief plus each school receives tickets to dispense as they see fit. I'd imagine KU won't do the Border WAR OOC for less than $2.5 million guaranteed just for the football game. I cannot imagine how much it will take to convince Bill Self to play Missoura at the Sprint Center non-conference. I really love the Missoura BoC for including the UofKansas in their official policy. Sucks to be Gary the Pickle who's gonna have to pay for all these political decisions.Originally posted by atheistcougar View PostAt this point, the Big 12 should invite BYU for 2012 and Louisville for 2013 regardless of what MU does. So, Missoura, get your checkbook, start writing checks and GTFO. And to keep KC happy and continue the Border WAR, get out the checkbook and start writing more checks. Exactly when will this SEC windfall arrive at your door after you've paid all your obligations? 2025?

At least Mizzou is doing more than giving lip service - that's all Nebraska did. Although I don't think either side had much interest in keeping the KU-NU streak alive. I would have liked to have seen the series continued. While it got one-sided, I always that the rivalry was respectful and valued by fans of both schools.Originally posted by Red Legger View PostAgree completely.
